@Canadian0rangeTaco you must be hunting in Colorado, at least it looks like ti to me from what I remember the mountains looking like. Hope your in good shape, for hauling that backpack all over the back country.

 

Alberta, Canada actually. I'd like to get down to Colorado. Their terrain looks similar however i think they have more alpine meadows and open country to glass. We have a lot more dark timber up here. I'm in okay shape I would say. I can definitely tell you My legs and back felt it when i got back this week. Pack was at about 55lbs. I'm usually in better shape going into season but they have all the gyms shut down due to Covid up here and I've been a bit lazy in finding other ways to stay in shape.

 

should have known by your screen name, but yes it looks quite a bit like colorado, either place is beautiful country. Wish I could have hunted country like this when I was younger and in better health. Be safe, and score at least a nice 4x4 if your elk hunting.

I saw about 2 dozen elk the other evening relaxing in the bison range. Would have grabbed a pic but I was driving and it was on the other side of the highway and I would have had to turn around. Good luck
