Ok, I'm not new to a Tacoma, but I am new to mods. This is due to the fact that I bought my 06 with 190xxx miles (it was a steal). It currently has 240xxx but no major problems at this point. I was wondering if I should go through with my planned mods or would I be wasting my time and money?

Good question..............I'd probably vote for the mods. Had a few tacos with high miles like that on some work trucks and very little problems. Did have to rebuild one engine @350,000 miles, cost around $4,000. Wasting time and money is the definition of life anyway. Be happy!

I guess that depends on what you want to modify. The first thing is whatever you decide to do since you are new at the gearhead game is not to get over you head when you start a project. Know what you are doing, use the right tools, have a knowledgeable friend help if needed, etc. If your truck has that many miles and depending on its previous life it wouldn't be a bad idea to check and replace all the fluids. used engine oil and spark plug wear can tell you a lot about a motor.

Most of my mods are cosmetic and can be done in an afternoon.tacoma1_zps8eb683b0_02a6189e265518b360ace2cb110a983fa07550c5.jpg
