Which fender flares?

Hope ya'll can help. I have a 2000 tacoma 4wd with non stock wheels so the tires stick out a bit more than normal because of the offset. From the outside edge of the wheel well (with no fender flare) to the outside edge of the tire tread the distance is about 1.25". The bushwhacker extend-a fender flares I'm looking at give 1.5" of coverage. Is this enough or because of the wheel offset would I need a a wider fender flare? I live in the Pacific Northwest so my objective is to keep mud etc. of the truck. Thanks a bunch.
