    5000k. below 5000 will be a yellowish and above 5000 will be blueish

    Depends on the company. Many low end Chinese bulbs labeled as 5000K are blueish because they use cheaper salts. For those companies 4500K is both whiter and higher output. Then you have bulbs like Osram CBI which are the highest lumen bulbs made, even over 4300-4500K bulbs and they are pure white 5000K color temp.
