    Nevada city/ possibly Oakland, CA.
I’ve loved this wildernest topper for a few years and it’s time to move on. I already have a new shell so wanted to get this posted. It’s dark here right now, so more photos tomorrow. Fits my 1st gen xtracab, probably others.
In case you haven’t heard of them, Wildernest shells are amazing. They were made in the 90’s out of fiberglass and wood construction. They are much more elegant and less boxy looking than flip-pacs. They pop open sideways, making over 8’ of standing room inside the bed. You sleep in the overhanging part- it’s very secure and held by a system of steel beams and cables. A mattress folds away into it.

I looked for one of these for ages. You can even treat it like bunk beds, sleep in the overhanging bed and another in the bed of the truck.

While this topper is still very serviceable, it is showing its age. The canvas is getting a little stiff and brittle. When I first got it 2 years ago I went over the whole outside with special camper canvas waterproofing and seam sealed the seams. There are companies that make replacement canvas.
I replaced one of the draw latches, and I have replacement hinges.
the topper was made to be bolted on, but I’ve used clamps- so it spreads a tiny bit and the locking bars aren’t as strong as they would be if it was bolted. Glass and screens are all there and function well. Needs new struts, but I might just do that since my new one needs that as well. The mattress is older, but it’s just a single sized piece of foam.
previous owner put a shitty homemade roof rack on and had put several holes in the sides for some reason. I filled them with waterproof fiberglass filler (not bondo).
I also have some awesome stickers.
    $1200 obo.
Topper is currently in Nevada city on my truck.

But it's more fun if we try to guess from the photo! Was it in their home state? Their local park? A vacation across the country? A 12 year round the world expedition spanning the globe?!?

Ha, sorry. Nevada City, CA. I was getting an error when I was posting this- it kept saying ‘enter valid title’, so I kept editing it until it posted.
