Window off track??

I have a 2005 tacoma and recently my driver front power window is always going down crooked and I have to manually push the glass into the right spot to roll up. It sounded like something fell on the inside of my door panel and when I checked it out there was this thin rectangular piece about 16" long and has two flanges. Anyone know what it is

 

That is either the Front or Rear window frame that guides the window up and down. Itis what normally keeps the window aligned so you will not have to do it by hand as you have been.

 

Could you explain where it's supposed to go? I was looking around and couldn't find where it goes.
