2009 tacoma 2.7 4 cyl 5 speed I had parked the truck the day before and had to go to a appointment the next morning, went to start the truck and fasten the seat belt, left the parking lot very short drive way and tried to step on the gas too go, no go mm what could be the problem. turned into side street and turned around and went back home block an d half. What could be the problem well after all the hoopla found a squirrel got into the top of my engine stated a big 'o walnut and was tryin to retrieve it, he was gonna take anything in his way to get to that nut. well he chewed though the TPS wiring a couple wires there and another plug. UGH he got real close to the plug it self I've soldered a few things and have made a living doing it but he just got too close I have to replace the plugs Big question where do I find these plugs so I can replace them?? There are two of them in the pic hard to see the second one but its looks like it goes in the smog system Any help will be greatly appreciated. First time question Thank you IMG-0411.jpg

If you have a pick n pull nearby just go there and grab the connectors you need.
Alternatively you will need to id the other connector and we can find the part number for the pins although they are kinda pricey for what they are.

Like @Dm93 said, you can reuse the plug.
But you’ll need the wire and terminal. They are sold separately from the plug.
If you can identify all the plugs, we can probably help you with part #’s for the correct terminals.

What a pain! Now with 4-5 squirrels daily in my yard I’d better keep an eye on my wiring!

I guess you can get proactive and use rodent tape if you are worried.
You won’t get to all the wires, but maybe it will deter them.

This has been a problem for a long time. Honda even “fixes” this after a repair with this tape.

Do yourself a favor and spray down your motor with peppermint oil. I live in the boonies and it's worked well to keep mice & rats out of the motor bay.

Also, if you can't find a replacement plug, de-pin it then solder in the replacement section. No heat damage to the plug and it wont cost a lot.

Yes you can de-pin the connectors, some you need a de-pinning tool and some you can do with a pick or a small flat screwdriver.

I've had the f'ing squirrels damage two cars parked in my driveway over the years, my XJ Cherokee and my Lexus RX350. I hate those tree-dwelling rats.

I have some of the Honda rodent tape to put on my Gen 1 and Gen 2 trucks. Honda part number 4019-2317. It's based on encapsulated capsaicin (the essence of chili pepper) and a vinyl tape. The maker talks about a 30 year life span. Buy it on eBay -- half the price of the dealer (at least my dealer).

Here's the data sheet for the rodent tape. I like the Japanese-to-English translation.
