I know 5100 questions have been exhausted on here. I've read probably a hundred threads regarding them.
However, mine may be slightly more unique.
I have a light bar and front hitch installed on the front of my Tacoma. I would say it's adding approx. 100+ lbs to the very front. I, like most, want my truck as level as possible.
I took measurements to the fender directly in the center of the wheel. Front is about 33.75" and rear is about 36.75". Difference of 3 inches. No tsb or aal.
So question being.... Can I set 5100's at 2.5 to achieve level? I know the general verdict is that 1.75 levels it. But considering my rake and weight on front, am I the exception to said rule?
Before I get too many opinions. I should say I'm not too interested in springs, uca's, or anything like that. Strictly a bilstein question.

you are not going to want to run at 2.5in with stock springs... thats going to be SUPER harsh ride and will probably need UCA's

Like he said, the 2.5" will be rough. I just installed 5100s at 1.75 with 1/4 top plate spacers, and I got a total of 2 5/8" lift up front. It's perfect, and the top plate spacers allow for another 1/2 lift without preloading the coils too much like you would on the 2.5 setting. Rides like a dream. Highly recommended.

    Is that 1/4" spacer?
