Alright so i went back to my base tune and pulled 35% fuel from the primary and secondary fuel tables. The new injectors are 58% larger roughly and dropping the fuel pressure by about 22% is how i came to the 35% figure to start. I also went back and adjusted the afr adjust table a little bit to make the ecu a little happier. It seems to be running better already, so hopefully things will improve from here with a few more revisions and once i can compare. Short term fuel trims are already way way better

It's way easier to tune large injectors with a manifold reference. Things should work out well with the idle now that your fuel pressure is lower at idle.

Here is how my table is set up for 550cc. I used MAF voltage offset. This table only works when you hook up the FPR to the manifold. You can see how little I need to pull away from the truck throughout the tune and my values aren't jumping around. Some of the values I leave the same in a large chunk because that is where closed loop is doing work. LT is +/-10%

edit: I'm only tuned to about 12 psi. After that I just make the tune run fat until I crank up the boost and tune that section of the curve

It's coming around a lot quicker than i anticipated, so that's a plus. I am having an issue now after the truck sits for an hr or more where it doesnt want to crank up right away, and acts like it has to reprime the fuel line. Never did this before the injector swap. Do you think this is a cause for concern? I have checked the fuel rail and around the injectors while it's running and i cant find any leaks and it doesnt smell of gas.

Most likely something to do with the tune and or the injectors. Be thorough and check over all connections still. Go for a drive tomorrow. Doesn't need to be long. Come back and look at every thing while warm.

Will do, i will give everything another check tmrw. It's starting to seem to me like the injectors are bleeding down on the inside after shut down though. I was considering adding a check valve to my fuel line to see if that helps as i have an extra laying one laying around and that'd be pretty easy. Still i'd like to figure out the issue though

Started doing some research for the o-rings to fit on the urd fuel rail tap & fuel pressure damper as i had to reuse my old ones yesterday. Then i realized that i had just what i needed from when i ordered the wrong thing once before while trying to order injector o-rings. Never really knew what they were for until tonight lol.

Im gonna swap these out tomorrow for good measure, new fuel filter, and check valve and hopefully itll be smooth sailing from there with start ups after sitting for extended periods

Anyone look at these videos? Any good info you can used? Seems to make common sense but I don’t know crap.

My Harbor Freight tool collection consist of various 2x4’s, 2 cinder blocks, floor stand, 1.5 ton racing floor-jack, 3 screw drivers (1 broken I use for my pry-bar), pair of pliers & channel locks, 2 adjustable wrenches, pipe wrench for a last resort, a hammer & BFH, baling wire & gorilla tape. Oh, and some miscellaneous tools I found on the ground while out riding my bicycle. If I can’t fix it with these tools it’s an electrical issue…

Lol what more does one need? My horrible freight engine crane has been pretty solid for me. I am sure there are lots of good videos with info on tuning, but ive been just taking it little by little to try and get an understanding of how it all works. That and the resident experts on here have been really helpful to answer questions ive had

Swapped out all the o-rings on the fpr, damper, and urd fuel rail tap today. also added a check valve to the fuel line post-filter, changed the fuel filter, and upgraded the intake piping clamps to the t-bolt style clampco brand ones. After swapping everything earlier, the truck still had a prolonged crank/start, so i went in and added a little fuel on the primaries in the 200 and 400 rpm cells in the -24 to -10in/hg range. We will see if it that helps some. There are definitely no fuel leaks in the engine bay, i am confident of that. Im fairly sure i have it narrowed down to tune or injectors now

    old urd o-ring was tired

Well, the truck fired right up after sitting overnight, so we'll see if the prolonged starts become an intermittent issue, or if it is indeed tune related. Looking promising though! It has fired right up the past few times since adding fuel down low. Only time will tell though. Yall make it a great week! :D
