Well, i was cleaning my wheels the other day and had the front end jacked up. I was spinning the driver side wheel, no problems, just cleaning it. I go to the passenger side wheel and its VERY difficult to spin. I took the passenger side wheel off and tried to pry on the brake pads a little and maybe see if its the caliper hanging up? well i couldnt move the pads but when i had someone spin the hub and i hit the brakes the brakes stopped the hub, so which makes me think its not brakes.

The hubs are unlocked, and the front drive shaft is not spinning when the wheel is spinning. Which brought me to think that maybe a bearing or something in the Hub ( I dont know how toyota hubs work, whats inside, or where to begin ) So i've left that alone and came here.

The problem when driving the truck down the road, if i let go of the wheel it wanders to the right. If i have to get on the brakes it jerks to the right.

Your guess is as good as mine?

Had planned on a clutch and shocks, but now who knows... if its not one thing, you better believe its gonna be another.:(

how many miles on your truck??? im gonna say its wheel bearings........thats what it sounds like to me, and you may want to change both sides....new bearings and good, fresh grease, plus seals too,if needed. not too expensive either i dont think. also....just curious. how worn are your pads?? if its getting time to replace them.....when you do, lube the caliper pins/slides. while you are at it.

pads are good on it, still look like new.

if it was a wheel bearing wouldn't the wheel be loose when i tried to shake the front wheel? I mean the truck is completely tight nothing loose anywhere.

not necessarily. it could be a back bearing, or both, but the wheel can still be tight to the spindle. you can jack the truck up, take off thee wheel, and see how freely the hub spins. if its real, real free spinning, its possible its the bearings.they need to be a little snug when spinning the hub......nott too tight, not too loose. could be the seal has a small hole in it and there isnt ample grease for the bearings....causing them to be dry. give it a shot and let us know what you find.

could be a sticking caliper...sure it will still stop the truck but it will not return to the "off" position where it release's the rotor

im starting to wonder if its the caliper, because the pads still look brand new and thats about a year since i did pads. Im gonna jack up the driver side and take off the wheel and check the pads.

but it still could also be both things, hub and caliper. because me being my dumb self left the hubs locked in over winter time and the highways were much more clear than backroads so at speeds of about 75 the hubs were still locked... which is making me think i could've burnt a bearing out.. 4wd still works great though.

yeah the manual hub trucks have bushings in the axles where the auto hub truks have bearings...so its a possability
