I bought a brand new pair of lights from you all 2 weeks ago and installed them this past Sunday. All was great until my driver's side started to hyper blink today when I put my blinker on. How can this be fixed? Is it as simple as tapping in a resistor like older Dodges needed or what? If so, which wires? I'm leaving on a 3500 mile road trip this Sunday and their's no way I can deal with this the whole trip lol.

You probably need a resistor somewhere. @caribe makaira can probably offer more info. Or maybe @daveeasa miggt be able to offer advice.

I admit, I didn't research this specific issue before purchasing these lights but I will say I've never heard of XBs needing a resistor for any vehicle. That is the most logical conclusion though. I just need to know which wires and resistor size.

Did you add LEDs in the tail lights? If you did and have the oem bulbs, try those and see if that fixes your issue. At least for your trip.

@memario1214 sells them maybe he has had someone ask about it.

I believe @Integerdy has xb v2's and might know how best to get them dialed in? As stated, if you have LED bulbs for taillights, perhaps you can swap back to halogen for turns to eliminate hyperflash? I'd pick upgraded headlights over taillights with a gun to my head.

I don't have any good math on resistor size needed. The way I did my bench test setup was to add until hyperflashing stopped which wound up being 2 resistors, but that's with an old GM flasher which is not at all what the Tacoma uses for sure.

MESO total tails with plug and play resistors are a nice option if you can find some (I think one is or was recently listed in 3rd gen BST.)

The tail lights are all stock still. I changed out the mirror lights for amber sequential housings but those were installed the same time as the heads were and everything was fine for 3 days.

I went for a drive this morning and it all worked fine again. Checked all my connections and everything is nice and tight, even more confused about this now lol.

Lol, that is pretty odd… maybe a loose connector somewhere… hope it’s stays fixed for you.

Now that one is pretty common with the Meso tails. I have the stage 1 and they also hyper flash when in reverse and I turn blinker on.

Hi Dave. Thanks for the tag

I have Morimoto xb gen2 on my 2021 SR5. I also have the stage 1 meso customs LED tail lights and sequential turn signals.

My turn signal will hyperflash if I have them on while reversing, which almost none of us will ever consciously do in day to day driving, but it does happen. My stage 1 kit doesn't have any resistors on them, but the Morimoto xb gen2's do have a resistor attached to the bottom of each LED headlight. See grey box with screws in attached picture.
