This was the truck when it was dropped off:

Thought it would be as simple as replacing the two doors and a fender. Not in this case.

    Then the fun part began:
Pulled the cab as much as I could, Installed two doors and fender.
Then decided to replace the rear cab and while at it repair the floor.

While the truck was sitting I thought might as well do something useful.
Like sound deadening. Bought a kit off eBay 4 door kit. And sealed off all the doors.
Took about 2 hours. fairly simple.

Nice work! Glad to see your saving it & not parting it. I bought my Taco with a seized 3.4L from a owner that neglected it. These trucks are addicting but fun projects.

Next I bought a pair of Sway-A-Ways 2.5 from a member from here.
Cleaned them up and did a seal rebuild and a re-valving from.012 to .010 for a softer ride.
Ill probably install them once I finish the body work.
And still working on the rear suspension. For now Im thinking Ill go with the Dakar leafs but open to suggestions if anyone has something better to offer for same price range.

BTW rebuild was simple only thing I was stuck on was the nitrogen refill. I only had Argon and didn't know if it was a good Idea to fill shock with it. But then found a local shop that fill both shocks for $5 each. Not to bad.

The shock had some thick rust on it but the vinegar with water got it off well. Took about 4 days to eat the rust off, if anyone one dose this make sure to heat up the shock shell, dry and seal with paint oil or whatever else you have. Otherwise it will go back to rust really fast.

Today I finally welded the floor area. Ive been putting it off for to long now. Came together better then I was expecting.
After welding I cleaned it and sprayed primer then some rubberized primer for water proofing. will also go over the top with some sound deadening once I find more time.

Tried flexing the stock suspension today and doesn't take much to get the wheel off the ground. Cant wait to get the sway a ways with Dakar leafs put on to see the change.

Same here. I buy all my vehicles needing some type of repairs. Being a auto tech i come across a lot of vehicles that need repairs for good prices. I bought 2 diff locked FZJ80's that need work. I bought this one from a fellow local TW member that just wanted it out of his driveway for $1700 because it needed brake & exhaust work.

Damn man, I wasn't expecting that level of body repair. Good price for a Limited double cab though. Where'd you get the partial cab and frame parts? Nice work.

    @BartMaster1234,
Yea when I first got it I thought it would be an easy fix and of course I could have went the good old cheap Bondo way but I plan to keep this truck for a long while so decided to invest in doing it right for a piece of mind. As for the parts I went threw Subway Truck Parts, Inc (junk yard in Sacramento CA). They didn't ship there parts so I had to find someone who would pick it up and deliver it. Good thing I know a few truckers who passed by and where willing to help me out. Also got lucky to find a truck with same paint code so the driver and passenger door don't have to be repainted and the frame/rockers will just need to get blended into the cab.

Installed bilisten 5125s on stock springs.
Now I need to order the Dakar leaf with the AAL.

Old shocks came off every easy and install and removal only took about 10min.
