She's good right now. Went home on Sunday(finally), and is adjusting to the routine the Dr. set up for her. She's bummed about the camping trip being postponed, but Hill Country isn't going anywhere. Appreciate you asking man.

Yeah dude. There’s plenty of camping to be had, taking care of herself is the main thing. Glad she’s doing better.

or you can go to ricks on the cliffs and have a burger then jump off the 100ft tower back into the ocean and swim back to the boat...

all the roads in inland jamaica look like this too...not so much where the tourist travel, but the roads are brutal and you need to be careful when you stop off-the-beaten trail. as friendly as the people are and beautiful as that island is, there are some scary parts too...

Sounds like I went to the wrong part. We just hung around the cruise port in Montego Bay (there was a 4 hour wait through customs and we only had 8 hours on the island) and went on a catamaran ride/snorkel tour. All the people we dealt with were rude as hell and just trying to get our money any way they could. Really kind of turned me off of Jamaica all together.

I remember that the same guy that would offer a "taxi" ride would also sell you t-shirts, weed, coke or braid your hair. I didn't stay at a fancy resort or anything, but didn't feel like I was in too much danger. In Amsterdam I got pick pocketed (bumped into me and reached in my coat pocket), but luckily he didn't get anything but a cheap pipe I got from a brown cafe. I called him out on it and he tried to trade it back to me for a cigarette. I told him to fuck off. He asked where I was from I told him Texas and he said "Fuck George Bush!" (it was 2004). The joys of traveling abroad...

I got my last paycheck from the Census, a whopping $5.40. Turning in my badge and equipment today. Census is officially complete at 11:59 tonight.

it depends, i know a lot of people go to jamaica to party, but we go places to dive and relax afterwards. ive never been on a cruise ship but ive been to ports like cozumel, montego bay, etc and those are set up for shopping/tourist trap.

we stayed at sandals so's not to worry about food, safety, etc. then we go on excursions (zip lines, dolphin swim, dive/snorkel and roam the 7 mile beach). the people were always really friendly and happy. they have a "no tipping" policy and it was very laid-back and relaxing. liked it so much we've gone twice. would def go again, but prob check out hawaii next time.

the only negative was when you were swimming in the ocean, sometimes a guy in a boat posing a fisherman would cruise by trying to sell weed lol. most of the time the guards (yes they have guards on the beach) would run them off.

yeah we dont do much partying. We like cruising for the cost benefits and "sampling" places. I would have been pissed if I had gone to that area of Jamaica for a week. We went to Hawaii in 2017 and absolutely loved it. We stayed 2 days on Oahu and 5 days on Maui. One of these days we'll make it back and stay on the big island.

Side Note: Thats a very interesting color on the WS6.

which island did you like best? we would prob schedule it around the best dive site in the area.
would also like to try surfing while im there.

the ws6 is painted dodge viper snakeskin green...amazing color in person. a custom shop in weatherford did the work. painted entire car, door jams, trunk area, and even pulled out the motor and did the engine bay.

funny story, several guys on other forums saw it springtown tx and asked if i lived there, i said no, have been to that town in years. others would say i saw you at "such and such" and id say no, i wasnt there. then someone posted a pic...

seems another guy on ls1tech saw it and painted his the same color. then he even put the same corvette wheels on it lol. so i changed mine up and added a mecham hood, west wings bodykit and purchased black staggered z01 vette wheels. then i was told he was gonna do the same thing lol...imagine my surprise when i went to the custom shop to his car parked right next to mine.

i no longer have that car, i ended up trading (another long story) to get my second mkiv supra lol...so it ended up working out because im more of an import guy anyways.

We liked Maui alot better than Oahu, but we felt like going to Pearl Harbor was a must do kind of thing. Super glad we went. We stayed on Kaanapali beach in Maui. Spent most of the 5 days snorkeling in front of the hotel. Had my parents and grandparents with us so we didnt explore much of the island.

I used a 2" sanding disk on a die grinder for mine.

Accidentally left it on the heat and burned the seasoning off.
