I'm looking for tail lights to match my headlights, which are Kustom54, so obviously this would be a great choice since I can get them in black satin like my headlights. At $575 they are a bit pricey, if anyone has them please leave a review.Kustom 54 LED Tail Lights.jpg

What are you wondering about? According to https://kustom54lighting.com/05-15-Toyota-Tacoma-LED-Taillights_p_95.html they take aftermarket tail lights (probably Depos), open them up, paint the bezels, and swap out the reflectors if specified. Tail lights are vented to atmosphere (there's a small rubber hose in the back), so moisture ingress is guaranteed.
Pricing is par for the course for custom modified tail lights. :notsure:

I am more than on the bandwagon for being unique, I personalize my vehicles to make them different from the crowd.
    But $575 for tail lights . . . r u @#$'in nuts?
Your $300 lights I can wrap my head around, although I think they don't look good. Don't rant n rave, I understand personal choice.

Those tailights look almost exactly like the Depo's I have, that cost $120.

In the interest of continuity: $575 for tailights? r u @#$'in nuts?

They are some sweet lights. Tail lights are very difficult to take apart, this is likely the reason for the cost as they are labor intensive.

Some of the mass produced low dollar stuff looks okay for a while but the internals are generally of questionable quality.

Imagine the hand wringing when someone cracks a lens on one of these. Taillights are wear items on a truck.

575...... For tail lights? That's insane!

Here, let's cuff you wrists to ankles. Then, because, you're the 10,000th customer; we have a special lube just for you. Nothing but the finest quality glass shards, along with sand from the Sahara desert, and the local beach. For a special treat, we will throw in some Hawaiian volcanic lava. Solidified, and pulverized of course.

All in a base of Lucas red and tacky.

    NO!

Totally understandable, I’ve done a lot of headlights in almost 20 years and the Taco lights scare me lol!

I have a set of Kustom54 headlights. They were pretty pricey too. But the workmanship is top notch and the support I got since purchase has been well worth the price.

Hey everyone so the taillight price I’ll explain. The picture posted is actually paint matched and not just black and I’ll go through the process.

First we have an ultra sonic cutter we have to use to open the taillights

Second we paint match the inside to clients desired color

Third we weld the lenses back on and add sealant

Fourth part is the pain, if you notice we also paint the outside border of the taillights to match your trucks color which is not a quick task. After the paint dries we sand the lens again and lay down the clear coat. All of this is done with automotive paint and clear using an iwatta paint gun and not rattle cans

Not sure what there is to "review" given it's the same exact light as OEM that you probably already have but painted
I guess the info you might be looking for is:
-it still has functional turn signal bulbs
    -the reverse light is white
-the brake light is a circular LED
    -it has an electrical connector
-two grommets stick into the body and the housing is retained with 2 10mm bolts
-they function to inform the car behind of braking

I can work overtime and make $76.00 an hour, I would rather do that than spend my time modifying my taillights. So for me, the price is worth it.
