First lift for my Y0TA

Hello,

I am looking for opinions about lifting my truck. First off I have a 2012 Tacoma Sport v6, 6 speed standard with a short box running 265/65/r17 that has 192k km.I am in Manitoba and use my truck both in the city/highway as much as I do in the country on gravel roads and light off-roading on occasion . The setup I am planning to do is the Bilstein 5100s to give about 1.5-2” of lift in the front with dobson springs. In the back I am either planning on doing a add a leaf or a 1-1.5” block. I do not want to do a crazy lift that will require new control arms and etc. I just want to fix the sag look and give it a better stance with of course being more cable off-road with a better on-road ride. The question I have is should I run the Dobson springs ? Should I stick with the stock ones or get new ome ones? I also look forward to hearing your opinions or suggestions. Much appreciated.

 

It sounds like your stock springs will be perfect for your needs. I have not seen anyone use Dobinson springs in bilstein 5100s yet but if you are interested in them, there is a supplier here that can probably help you out. OME is also good
