Help me replace my oil pan?

My oil pan got punctured by the power steering feed line plug when I went off roading last and I have been leaking a lot of oil. The stealership wants $1,119 to replace it. I said hell no, and Im going to replace it myself with the help of my friend. However, this seems like a daunting task and I was wondering if anyone would like to help out?

THe oil pan is easy to replace. But I dont think thats where the leak is comming from.....

Do you have anyother pics? Maybe a few a little farther, and some more close to the actual leak?

^ nah thats the only picture I have. They dealership resealed the timing cover and ran the engine. The only place they saw a leak after that was coming out of that hole. They had me in the shop and let me reach behind the oil pan and feel the hole, and you can actually see through the hole into the gears. They said all other seals were fine. I'll try to get some more pics later.

Is it the timing cover?....You cant see gears thru the oil pan.....

nah, the timing cover was off when they were showing me, thats probably why i recalled seeing gears, haha, but its was clearly the oil pan, lowest part of the engine in front of the drain plug, and when i reach in, the bottom was coated in oil

if its the oil pan, there is nothing to it. Take old one off, and replace making sure to propperly torque all bolts.
2/3rds down you can see a detail of the No. 1 and No. 2 oil pan assemblies.

on a side note, the diagram of the oil pan in the link you showed me looks really different than this one on toyotapartsales.com:

one of the oil pans sit farther in front than the other

The one I posted is from the FSM. The one TRD Parts sales has, is a simple blow up. Its not hard to change the pan. If the leak is from the No. 1 pann, drop your skid plates, and drop the front diff. Should be no need to disco the axels, or anything. That should give plenty of clearance to remove the pan, and replace. Use all OEM gaskets, and be SURE to torque bolts propperly. The No. 2 oil pan bolts are in "In-lbs"......Not "Ft-lbs"....BIG difference.
