You wanting 4 red lights and a white dome? The red are a tad more expensive than the white but we have 6 reds left.

I'm thinking red map lights in those ceiling fixtures would be an exercise in frustration. color maps are very hard to read in red light, anything red or yelllow or orange disappears, blues and greens show up as blacks and greys.

maybe amber LEDs would be OK.

now, I had a red LED in the back of my volvo wagon, was great for astronomy but not so great when I just wanted light to load/unload in the dark, hah.

that volvo 740 wagon held nearly as much as the taco, eeek

A couple of problems with those types. It's a bunch of technology jammed into one socket type with not much consideration for where the light needs to go. It's also top heavy and will vibrate in the socket which could lead to loose connections. There is also a heat issue because they don't put enough metal into them to radiate. And lastly, way too much money. Those generally cost 5-7 bucks direct from the makers.

I went with this as a backup light and they are amazing

I would have liked white over blue for that dome light.

Thats the million dollar question. I specifically bought this "kit" so that there would no variation in color... i really don't like the blue dome light!

I seriously can't stop laughing but I'm not making fun of you, I would be extremely frustrated looking at that. That's exactly why I wanted to get this kit

'white' LEDs tend to come in three general color ranges. 'cool white' which are almost bluish, natural white, and warm white which are more amber-white.

the cool white LEDs tend to be brighter in a given size than the natural white ones.
