I'm about to upgrade the factory stereo in my '07 double cab...

just how good does that tactunes kit look? I'm not a fan of that storage slot under it, but i'm not sure i want a double-din stereo in there either.

Does it match the dash really well?

Any feedback would be great - thanks.

I looked into using ********* products in February, and I was told by a number of members on here that their customer service is horrible. Apparently it is one guy doing all the work.

It is really too bad. They appear to have some great products. I would love to give them some business, but with a bad reputation - no business from me.

Places like Best Buy and Circuit City can order the kits for you, and they seem to match pretty nicely.

I used a www.crutchfield.com kit. It is black ABS plastic. I think it looks cool because it isn't silver. That means that I didn't have to match it. ;)

Scosche makes a kit that is very close to the dash color, but it wasn't close enough for my liking. Also, their kit comes in either double DIN or single DIN. The crutchfield kit is both. I have a single DIN deck now, but I may upgrade to a DVD/Nav system in the upcoming year.

Just some food for thought. :)

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
the scosche kit i got looks damn near perfect color match. the only thing i saw was that the lines dont line right up. not a biggie for me. i've got pics in my gallery of it. and i like it b/c it doesnt have the stupid bumpy texture that the stock has.

I have the black one, they are more or less the same as found anywhere. Personally the black looks better than the silver stock six disk that I had. When I have e mailed ********* they have been fine, getting back to me within a day or so, plus with being in the same city they'd arrange for me to pick up stuff if need be. All I can say is good really.

I ended up buying a Scosche kit on ebay for $27, including shipping and two wiring harnesses - good deal.
