Maybe this is asking too much...I know that I can subscribe to forums, but I'd like a little more functionality.

I'm mostly interested in the 2nd gen, AV, Off-Topicand the Deals section. I'd like to be able to subscribe to these forums and click one link to view all the threads that have had activity since I last logged in. Similar to the homepage, but not a rolling tally of all recent posts. Is this possible or desirable for others?

No. I want something that when I login, I click on something that says "Subscribed Threads Updates" and then a big page with all the updated threads pops up.

I want something similar but with the option to subscribe to forums and have them show up on the User CP.

I believe Isocoee wants a New Posts link. I frequent the Mobility Today website. When I go to the forums section I can click on a link at the top of the page called New Posts. In return I get a page that lists all posts across all the various forums that have been added since the last time I visited the website. It is a very nice feature.

OK...I just noticed that feature is already there. Now I don't understand his request. Maybe he wants to limit the New Posts to only posts from certain forums...

That would be sufficient. Is there a way to do this here? I'd like the option to eliminate certain forums from "New Posts" so that I don't have to read about hunting, 1st gens, and offroading.

Edit: Oh, hey! Cool! I just found it.

There is one that will allow you to filter a forum from the new posts link... like you describe..

The only problem with some of those mods is you might loose them if the base forum software is upgraded also, there might be a performance issue and as the site gets more and more popular, it might slow things down for everyone.

    Just something to consider.
