    G'day all,

Been reading through the audio threads trying to get educated on HUs, accessaries and installation.

I have a 2011 with the JBL radio. I would like to replace the JBL with a touch screen nav system. I was leaning toward Kenwood cause they partnered with Garmin and Garmin is the nav system (stuck to the windshield style) I've been using for several years.

However one of the installers at BestBuy suggested the Alpine also uses Garmin. I can't find any info that suggests that's true, but I can not believe he gave me bad info just for the hell of it.

Moving on, I also have found if I want my ITouch to work, that's extra, and if I want my steering wheel controls to work my ITouch that's also extra and I have no idea when you would get a new face plate to replace the JBL face plate. So where do yo get the specific face plate?

Additionally, I have satellite radio but current do not subscribe, bu if I wanted to subscribe down the road I would need to purchase an additional module.

Lastley, some on line venders show the advert the HUs a vehicle specific. Does that mean the included wiring harnesses?

From numerous vender sites research I've concluded the is no one HU that includes everything I need, it the HU and extra modules and a face plate, correct?

    Thanks
