A few months ago I was looking in to trading my tacoma in for a ridgeline since they where giving out big rebates on them, but after I found out that people that own them were only able to get 17-18 mpg driving nice and the fact it only has a 3.5 liter. I pretty much told the honda dealer "good luck selling a truck that get crappy mpg and looks ugly" becuase at the time I was getting 20 mpg and 18 mpg towing my camper. Some of them even said that their ridgeline only got a round 15 mpg. Plus a front wheel drive truck is not really a truck.

I lost my 1999 TRD Off Road V6 5spd to the Toyota buy back due to frame rust. It had 222015 miles on it. I had just checked my MPG over 4 fill ups, it was getting 20.5 MPG. I drive easy 50% city 50% Hwy.
My have a new 2008 TRD V6 Off Road 6spd and its not looking so good. I have 260 miles and its used 3/4 tank. What's the deal, with quick math it's only getting 16.5 MPH.

Welcome Ed. Wait till you fill up and do the math, 260 @ 3/4 I'm guessing your closer to 18-19, a good avg for the 6spd, especially since yours is brand new.

18-19 would be nice, 2.5 MPG adds up when driving 75 + miles a day. I will check after a few tanks. I must say it's nice. I don't go off road much, when i do I just hope it can wheel like the 99. :D

I'm still on my first tank of gas with mine, but I was at 180 miles at 1/2 tank, which works out to about 21mpg. My old 4Runner was never very accurate though as far as the fuel gauge was concerned. I'd get regularly get 300 miles on a 15 gallon fill up, but would only be at 120 miles at 1/2 tank on the fuel gauge.

Mr.Ed is in the barn relaxing. I filled up a few minutes ago; 302 miles/16.85 Gal.= 17.9 MPG. I should not have guessed looking at the gauge. The Tacoma buy back has had me on the edge. This was my last concern. Now maybe a few bolt-on's.
