    Awesome .

I wondered if the wire actually comes up to the location where the switch would be similar to other situations where the wiring is there behind blanks for switches that don't apply to the particular truck configuration .

That is one heck of a good thought, I'm eagerly awaiting this info as well, and am glad I've procrastinated long enough to not do the rodstone mod yet, as good as it is.

Oh, to have the circuit diagrams.

Looking at the wiring diagram and the not shown *2 Note (*1 is with Locker, *2 is without Locker), the Blue/yellow L-Y wire is only there if a locker is installed. The LiteGreen LG wire is on the plug if no locker wiring is installed. So on my Sport Prerunner, I would cut the LG wire and run it through a switch to disable the ABS. Essentially, I could install the switch anywhere between 1D(9) and EXI3 on the ABS ECU.
As long as the volts from IG1 #2 are stopped from going to the ABS ECU, the ABS is disabled.
    Right?

I think you might be onto something, I assume you have the diagram with the notes? If so, I would think you are correct. The diagram shown here makes much more sense with that additional info.

Hey, there is a pic on post #83.

Note that my 2006 wiring diagram has different pin numbers in the plugs following IB1 for this wire. Also on the ABS ECU it goes into pin 7 (EXI2) if you only have ABS without the TRAC/VSC stuff. It still goes into pin 28 (EXI3) with all the TRAC/VSC installed.

I've looked over the wiring diagrams and will check it out in my truck tomorrow. I don't want to run 10 ft of wire and splice things if i don't need to.

My switch is in.....I will have it installed within 2 hours and I will update with my phone as I really would love to have this figured out! Regardless of how it will work, I wanted the switch to use for the original mod. This switch as well as the fog switch are the only 2 factory switches that work like a toggle so I am still going to disable the ABS it is just a matter of how it gets accomplished. Just noticed I wrote switch a bunch of times!

Well.... I kind of got hosed. Kind of! I ordered the correct switch but the wrong one came in. What does an auto LSD switch do? What taco did these come on? Anyways the new switch will be here Thursday. Now on a more positive note....I scored a brand new pair of OEM smoked headlights for only $200!!!

To elaborate further now that my internet is back.

Just putting in a factory Diff switch or wiring up an aftermarket switch to the factory wiring behind the dash did not work for me.
The thought was that if the 4wd and skid ecus thought you were turning on the diff the ABS would be disabled, the diff lock indicator on the dash would light up. Well I guess the 4wd ecu is smart enough to know that the diff lock is not present.

IB1 on the driver kick panel is where people are tying in to the wiring.

    ABSdiagram2_2a7370c96256312ac28a849627e8e4136be2bbfd.jpg

This wire is between the 4wd and the skid ecu.

Nice! Seeing both diagrams makes it easy peasy in theory, now any tips for locating IB1 in the drivers kick panel?

The dash switch does not provide the diff locked signal to the ecu alone, its the "transfer indicator" switch T13 (if i'm reading it right, its a bit blurry) just to the lower left of IB1 in the last diagram. It grounds out the 12V signal from the 4wd ecu to disable the ABS and illuminate ths diff lock indicator led in the dash. On non-diff lock trucks, this 12V signal comes from the IG1 10A fuse, so the circuit must be opened with a switch, rather than grounding it.
