Anyone build a RIMS or HERMS setup? Benefits of each?

    Just started to acquire the materials to build my own 15 gal system but wondering what the benefits of going to HERMS would be... i like the idea of having the wort flowing through the mash but would it make my beer more consistent? (maybe if it was automated?)

    BHLM, Ultra Mammoths, Husky mats, K&N non true CAI, window tint, Avid Steps and light bar.
    Yes it will make your batches more consistet especially if you take detailed measurements, wort temps, strike temps and cooling temps and time. Of course this set up is more for someone advanced to whole grain. Im still in the partial mash stage. My body buit an amaing one, I will post pics when I get home.
