If you have a big dog and keep busting through hammocks...

    Harbor Freight $5.00 for 40 x 70 movers blanket and a $4 grommet kit.

Then put hammock over it. Relieves the stress on the seams and will save you money. Super easy.

Right on. We go through dog blankets on a regular basis. I'll give this a try. It almost seems like you've made your own hammock out of the HF blankets and the grommets. Might not even need another hammock? Nice idea. Thanks for posting.

I just wish my ole English bulldog would stay inside the back seat. By the time I close the back door she’s in the drivers seat looking at me.

You could with a bigger size, but they are not water / Dog Goo resistant. Plus the tag says "Not Machine Washable / Dryable" so I just use them as a reinforcement under the hammock. Stupid hammocks usually have a single stitch line and when your puppy (The Kraken as we call her) puts weight on that seam towards the front ... it blows out like a bad Taco Bell lunch. I have really went through about 5 or 6 hammocks in the past 4 years. The current one has lasted me for almost 6 months. The moving blanket blew out first. So I decided to reinforce it. First time "Grommeting" anything... now I am thinking what else I can grommet. Well worth it.

She is a Large Marge... and her small 25# boyfriend is for reference.
