I was about to pull out of a bass pro the other day when an angry feller flew out of his spot and conked my bumper (2017 Offroad). He went flying off without stopping--and now I need to find a replacement set of color matched driver side or pair of bumper extenders. Upon inspection, I don't think anything is damaged underneath, so I think I can get away with the damaged piece alone. Dealer wants pretty close to $500 but wants to inspect--I don't want to replace a damn bumper set for $2000. There are some aftermarket extenders that are black or primered for about $75 each. Does anyone have a set laying around (or the driver's side) that they would be willing to sell? I was thinking someone might have modded their beast and have some, or know someone who will do a spray and color match. See below.

You know, it sounds stupid but I didn't realize that he damaged it. It felt like a shopping cart hit it--and I saw him speeding away. So I sat there for a minute and then got out, thinking I had to move a shopping cart. It was weird. I have a $1000 deductible on this so it's not worth it for me to try to file a claim.

Fair enough. Those bumper caps can be a pita. Good luck on your hunt!

Thanks. I know one will turn up at a point. Or someone will spray a set for me.

I build wooden boats and have worked fiberglass more than I like. I thought it might be worth a try to pull the dent out with a heat gun. I pulled it off, used some odd rounded clamps I have laying around, and worked it hard. It came out pretty well. Still needs replacement but it is not as critical. There are no fractures--it is shiny and reflective. It returned to its original shape almost perfectly, although it is bad scuffed up. My wife heated it and I used thick gloves to muscle it. Took about 30 minutes.
