*Fishing on the windrock property, none that I am aware of. I am sure there is some fishing spots near by.
*the camp ground at Windrock, has no stream or body of water on it. There is a nature trail, and There might be a pond down there. on the up side some of the trails of water crossings, and or waterfalls near by.
*If you registered for GSMTR, the registration pays for your camping in the group area(a big open field). However nothing says that you cant go up to the park that weekend and pay to camp in the other campground on the property, and still use the trails to ride if you did not register(one would need a riding pass rather they registered with GSMTR or not, registration does not cover the cost to ride). I know some people (a group of guys from the Atlanta 4Runners) who are going up that weekend and are camping at the "primitive" camp sites. the sites that are close to the bathhouse are numbered and need to be reserved. there are more camping spots behind those that are first come, first serve, and are more secluded than the numbered camp sites.
*I believe GSMTR are still taking registration and one can even register at the event. The deadline that was yesterday, only guaranteed a tshirt in the size that you prefer.
*I am planning on going up that thursday and leave on Sunday
*there are some other campgrounds that in the area. Some are even suppose to have connecting trails to the riding trails. I have heard some of the other campgrounds are nicer (better amenities) than Windrock's. Not sure if any of them have fishing on them.
    * My friend Mike Will that I am meeting up there, knows the park pretty well, and is good at the reading the map, and finding other entrances to the trails, that take you farther out on to the property, which means less traffic, less people, sometimes better scenery, and sometimes a better chance to see wildlife(the property is loaded with a lot of wildlife, and if you're lucky you might see some elk). However to be upfront, Him and I typically only do blues and the easier black trails. So we go after the more technical trails, which I know some would like such as @BYJOSHCOOK , and others would not. Now with that being said, neither him or I would be dicks and not help out other anyone(thats not who we are), who might need help in spotting, picking a line, and etc...... Hell we all need help at sometime or another. Just want to make sure if anyone goes out with us, that they are properly equipped(armor). However I believe in the saying"remeber stupid, you still have to drive this home", lol. and if any one from here shows up, they are more than welcome to ride with us. Typically Sunday's or departure day, we will do easier trails since we loaded up, and about to head home.

Didn't mean to be so longwinded

EDIT: and it would be great to met you guys and hang out in some way or another.

Only thing is I'm not a big fan of huge wheeling events because then you tend to get too big of groups and one blue trail ends up taking 1 hour with all the spotting. So I tend to stay away from huge events like GSMTR. If you wanted to go fishing we could probably camp up at the spot at Blueridge if we had enough people interested. :notsure:

Or we hit AOP or Chocolocco that weekend. I bet they'd be pretty dead since a lot of people go to GSMTR that weekend

EFFFFF - Was time to redo my wiring under the hood anyway to my AUX fuse box. Only thing left on my list before the Red Clay Rally in June.. guess I just needed someone to run a stop sign to get my ass to do it.

I'm just annoyed I gotta redo my retrofits. Need to get with Thomas so we can do them together.

I like the idea of hitting an alt instead of the huge event, count me in.
