Leather seat HELP

I'm sure it would be pretty simple, just remove the leather covers, place the heating pads then re-install the covers, then do your wiring.

It depends on the type of heated seat kit you have... Some kits allow for trimming and some your stuck with the shape you have. I've done retrofits on cars before and always had to remove the seat bottom completely, but only pull the seat back up about halfway.
In my research I found 2 types of kits -1 a wire filament kit (which I was used to) and 2 a "Carbon Fiber" kit that I purchased. Both had 2 temperature settings but in the description the CF kit was larger & stated it was trimmable.
I haven't even taken them out of the bags yet, but by the looks of them they are MUCH nicer than the wire filament kits I installed years ago.

Also, for anyone that has a DC SR5 (non-airbag) and would like leather I found this kit on ebay. I am pretty sure it is a Pecca kit and at a hard to beat price.

Could you take a picture of the switch by chance, or if you have a link to the same kit that might show the switch that would work? Also, I think you mentioned already but these are the cut-to-fit heaters right? From the pic above it looks like they will cover most of the seat.

Anyone else have the problem of the door panel inserts bubbling and coming out? I guess its the glue I used (permatex vinyl and headliner adhesive) but now that its warmer here, mine are starting to bubble and come up around the seams i'm gonna try to find some perforated leather or pleather and re-do them. They looked great for a few months. I guess the glue can't stand up to the heat.

 

Ordered my leather today!! yippee, Now to wait for the over 100 pics/procedure!!
