As the username implies....I love my Toyotas. On a whim the wife and I decided to swing buy the Yota dealer last night to peruse the lot after a few games of bowling. We really had no intentions of buying anything new. Well... needless to say, what we drove up in (a 2000 Tacoma PreRunner) and what we left in were two different vehicles. We came home with a loaded super white 2008 Tacoma SR5 TRD Sport. I've actually been salivating over the FJ Cruiser like one of Pavlov's dogs but have been hesitant to purchase. Good thing...the dealer told me it will be discontinued in 2009.

We also own a 96 4Runner but I can't pry the keys away from the wife long enough to run to the store. It just turned over 100K miles and is nearly immaculate as the day we bought it.

I've been driving Yotas exclusively since 1985 and have owned two 4Runners, now on my second Tacoma, Camrys, a Corrolla and a Corona (Japanese model). None of my Toys have ever been in the shop for anything other than routine maintenance (which I do religiously) and I couldn't be happier.

Anyway, I'll be watching the threads and dropping a line once in a while. I'm initially interested in doing a leveling lift, bull bar, step tubes, etc, etc, etc - you guys know the drill :D.

This is the first time I have heard of that. I think you got fed a line of BS.

Still, you got an excellent vehicle! Cheers!!!

Welcome to TW, I'm with 007, I think he was pressuring you to have a harder look, as I understand the sales are good for the FJ.
