As I recall, the latest version of the Starlink router has no hard-wired Ethenet port, but you can get some sort of adapter to add Ethernet. Has anyone set up one of these adapters, and how well does it work?

Ugg. With the heavy wet snow yesterday, my SL is now obstructed- thinking it’s the drooping pines :notsure: across the street.

The App is telling me to expect an interruption every 2 minutes but the stats aren’t showing it.

So I haven't seen this posted much on here.. Got my parents Starlink in, thought the little tiny bit of obstruction from tree limbs and the edge of the house wasnt gonna be an issue. Setup obstruction scan kept saying "frequent obstructions" until is was down to about 0.7% obstructions and then it was moderate obstructions and said that it was a "decent spot".. It took way to damn long to find a location that was acceptable to my parents and that was acceptable to Dishy...
After doing its long "up to 12 hour" obstruction scan it seems to be pretty happy here on this pole with a custom mount.. Got it installed Friday before the crazy cold and snow rolled in.
Much better than Hughes net even with decorative icicles

Nice setup, complete with a swooping X :D.

The ‘Outages’ link on the Statistics page is helpful:

My dish isn’t permeability installed yet so I’ll be adjusting for sure. Found out 75’ doesn’t go as far as it used to .

This is how the pine tree pops up in the Starlink app:
    BDC028FF-A206-4DE7-9714-4F24D09280FA.jpg

The line of trees on the northern horizon is also a concern but not being registered as an obstruction. I hope moving it slightly more west and putting it up on a pole will help.

Crazy SpaceX doesn’t offer more options for cables and no options for connectors.

    From an email minutes ago:

Due to excessive levels of inflation, the price of the Starlink kit is increasing from $499 to $549 for deposit holders, and $599 for all new orders, effective today. In addition, the Starlink monthly service price will increase from $99 to $110. The new price will apply to your subscription on 4/26/2022.

Yeah. I'm not excited about that. That raises our price to $25/month over our current setup from the idiots at cox cable.. :(

I'm still sold on the idea of not relying on copper that's barely hanging on with the aging power pole infrastructure around here. When a hurricane comes, it can wipe things out for a while. Dishy can just be brought inside for the storm and then set back up afterwards.
