Spring break is coming and I have some family free time to go exploring. Never been to Moab, so thought it looked dusty and warm enough to consider. Tried this on the trails page and got snuffed so wondering if my 2nd gen crew has opinions. 4-5 days. Dispersed camping. Basically stock 2015 dblc. Go!

I've always wanted to drive white rim road in canyon lands. Need a permit though

I've been to moab many times. Grab the Charles Wells/ Fun treks trail book.
    https://www.amazon.com/Guide-Moab-Backroads-4-Wheel-Drive-Trails/dp/193483825X

A stock vehicle can handle most all of the trails in the Medium category if you have some experience offroad and knowing vehicle clearance. Thea easy trails are pretty much dirt roads. I had a built crawler for all of my trips so I always stuck to the difficult end of the trail list. I did like Tusher Tunnel, Gemini Bridges, Monitor and Merrimac, Potash road/schafer switchbacks which I seem to remember will work for stock.

I'll be on White Rim this weekend actually, This will be my second time. There are plenty of other roads and trails in Moab that are similar to white rim, just none as long.

The dispersed camping on Chickens Corner was absolutely amazing, by far one of the highlights of the trip. I was the only one out there and I think this was the best camping spot (look in the far right corner lol)

Last November, I hit Moab in my semi-stock truck. Fins and Things and Hells Revenge were completed with just a little tail dragging. Did Metal Masher(or was it Fender Bender??) and on that one I gave the skids and sliders a little work out.

Check with the Colorado and Utah sub forums to see if anyone might be out during your stay. Always more fun having like minded people with you.

I second what @ZColorado suggested with the Charles Wells (and now Matt Peterson helps) with the trails. Very detailed trail descriptions and ratings. He was in Colorado Four Wheeler Club when I was treasurer. Pretty cool guy that just enjoys getting out and enjoying the outdoors. Matt Peterson is a off-road enthusiast and racer. Good addition to the team.

All the years I have been going out to Moab, some things have become evident to me:

-Take plenty of water and snacks. You could be in for a very long day on some trails.
-Good GPS and mark locations. Not hard to get lost on some trails.
-Theft is an issue. The last time my crew went out, we just rented a ranch with 4 houses on it for the week. Plenty of room for all the tow rigs, you can work on your junk, and it's quiet.
-Weather. I have been stuck on Pritchet Canyon trail for hours during a rain storm that had all the roads dubbing as rivers. It was pretty crazy. No way to get out and had to wait it out. On the same token, been there on a nice day, crash out and have 8" of snow on our tents in the AM.
