Superbads Boring Build and not Enough Exploring

Went to get the truck looked at so I could get it in for repair to the body damage from my tire coming off. The collision/body shop that says that can perform the work because the trucks too "modified"... they claim having hammered the pinch weld flat and having an after market front bumper now makes it too difficult for Caliber Collision to take on the repairs to my destroyed fender. They also said they dont have the room to store the front bumper during the repairs. What a joke, guess it's time to get other shops to quote the repair and who will be happy to get the work.

Yup, went by another shop Friday and they are happy to do the work. Got things started with my insurance and got the initial appraisal today from them and sent it to the shop. The shop is ordering parts today and I will take my truck on on the 17th to let them get started. All thats left is to setup my rental car for when the trucks in the shop! The shop will end up letting my insurance know what else needs to be replaced/fixed once they tear it apart.

 

Good news! Glad someone is willing to take care of it. Hopefully it's not down for long

 

Heres to hoping! Shop said they would need at least a week so I'm hoping it wont be more than 2 weeks. Sounds like I'll be getting some mid/full size car as a rental... Guessing it wont be anything good but I dont really care since I dont drive very much. I wouldn't even bother with a rental if I didnt have rental coverage paying for it, LOL.

 

Got the truck back from the body shop on Thursday! Was only in the shop for a week. So happy to have it back and be out of the rental car.


Went ahead and had them fix my rear passenger door also!

Truck actually got a mod with the Meso volume fix last week. Volume up is is finally the way it should have been from the factory and up instead of right.

 

Soft topper was removed last night to make room for an RSI SmartCap!
