Switch wire question

    Not at the moment. It seems there are three slots for the toggle switch. Power from source, power to accessory, and ground. I had it professionally installed. Maybe I should ask them before I mess with it.

    The power from source is either the battery direct or to the fuse panel on a fuse tap or add a fuse.
    The only thing different is the one extra wire to illuminate the switch. The rest should be the same.

    A high side switch doesn't need ground, it's just a break in the circuit so the power wire comes into the switch and then out so the connection can be broken by the switch. The ground will be connected to the other side of your load which will either be the coil of a relay or the item being driven. A ground at the switch is to create a complete circuit for the back light or indicator light.

    Get a multimeter and identify your wires by more than color.
