Guys, yesterday I had not driven my 2019 Tacoma anywhere until about 5 pm. When I did start it it ran very rough like on 4 cylinders. Temperature was 114 degrees (live in Las Vegas) I had a transmission temperature hot light come on. Like I said I had not moved the truck all day. It finally died and when I restarted it it ran fine. Any ideas?

These 3rd gen trucks do not particularly like extreme heat or cold.

Interesting. Had my trunk sitting out in the sun for awhile on these hot days, could recall the temp gauge on dash said 108, started, and ran fine except you couldn't grab the steering wheel. Even sitting down on the black colored set wasn't too comfortable. Problem with op's sounds similar to my tundra in which if real hot it could be hard to start.

Sounds fuel pump issues affecting the '18-'19 models.

Fuel pump issue. There is a recall and you may be affected.
