Thought I had it in 3 with a clever word.

 

This one was tricky

 

3. This one hurt my head, but I'm taking more time than I used to after the second guess.

After my first word, could only think of 1 word that fit so I tried it.

 

I had at least 3 words for my second. Weird that only getting just 1 letter right, but a key one, can narrow things down so much.

 

After my second guess I had two options, and it was the other one

I started writing down on a piece of paper each guess before I type it in and it really gets more options ready so that I can get it in fewer answers now.

 

4 is inevitable, it seems. Even when on pace for 2 or 3, 4 is life.

 

A six?! I'm not having good luck lately.

I started using "x" as a placeholder in Wordle, like xExxT, but can't help but see x as a letter. I'm going to start writing it down like you do. I've already whiffed my first guess - all gray. Time to go back to work and revisit it later.

 

Three. Taking more time and writing it out is paying off. Still haven't moved up a spot, but a decent run of three's.

 

Another four. Could be worse I suppose…
