I have a Tacoma Double Cab '08 and this fits perfect.

Someone's side mirror hit my original tail light and cracked it. I was searching for a 2 new tail lights so they can match when I came across this one. I bought it thinking that it may not be perfect, but it is. You cannot tell the difference between the two lights. I had my friend take a picture of the back with the lights running. The lights inside are almost the exact same. In my case one light was a bit older so it was a little dimmer but not anything noticeable.

The tail light was so easy to install. It was as simple as unscrewing a few screws, pulling out the old light, unplugging the old light, and then plugging this one in.

It has been a year now and I recommend this product to the fullest. I have seen no wear and tear from the light. All the lights are still working. Fantastic product.

Perfect Replacement

I selected this taillight unit to replace the broken one on my '08 Tacoma. Although the unit comes with lights and a wiring harness, I wanted to re-use my original wiring harness because it was spliced for trailer lights. This was no problem at all - the original harness plugged into the new taillight unit perfectly. No adaptations were required in order to complete the installation. Time to install was about 15 minutes and that was only because I wasn't in a hurry. I would definitely buy again if the need arises.

Cons-
1) Not a Perfect Color Match. This replacement Lens was overall tinted slightly pinker than the OEM one on my 2007 PreRunner Toyota Tacoma; this was most noticeable at the bottom section where it is basically supposed to be clear and top where it is clear/yellow (hopefully it will balance out with time, since red pigments fade faster than other colors when exposed to the sun...only time will tell since it was just installed a week ago).

Pros-
1) Fitment. Fit 2007 TOYOTA Tacoma great, easy install with a couple basic tools.
2) Time Requirement. Install took 5 minutes, after watching a brief YouTube video.
3) Cost. At about $60, it was less than a third of what I was quoted to have it replaced.

FYI...the one I ordered from Amazon came shipped from "Auto Lights & Bulbs" and was received about a week after ordering.

I had 1 broken taillight assembly on my 2006 Toyota Tacoma Pre-runner.
I was worried about it not matching the other stock taillight assembly, but you can't tell any difference between the 2. Replacement was easy a matter of removing 2 retaining bolts and popping the old one out and disconnecting the wiring harness. The new installed in the reverse order.
The assembly also came with all the bulbs needed.
The only issue was the turn signal bulb in the new taillight assembly did not work so I had to use the one from the broken taillight assembly.
So I recommend testing the turn signal, backup, and brake lights of the new taillight assembly before installing the bolts.
Shipping was fast and this is a great product for the price.

I needed to replace my drivers side taillight and read the reviews and went with this model from Depo on Amazon.com. Ordered it on a Saturday afternoon and Prime had it at my door by Monday at 1pm. Product is identical to an OEM version from Toyota only at a fraction of the cost. No installation instructions included but you can find those online if you do not know how to install these. Fit is perfect assembly took less than 10 minutes from start to finish to remove the old one and install a new one. I hope I won't break my taillight again but if I do I would buy this product again.

i was a little concerned when first buying a replacement light online, you cant inspect the light or compare it to the original its about to replace, but this was the cheapest replacement light i found on amazon. Ive seen good reviews online about Depo lights and this one was not only the cheapest but also came with free shipping. the package arrived a day early and was impressed by how good the light looks, you cant tell its the one light made from Taiwan on the truck. the picture makes the light look really pink, but in person its an exact match. so far so good
