The hose is still crap. The screw-on valve is still crap, totally unusable. But!!!
The unit I received about March 2015 had a standard air hose fitting and I was able to get a standard air hose and hook it right up no problem. I have used this compressor to air the shocks in my camper and add air to a flat quad tire. It works great! It can deliver high pressures (>70 pounds) with no trouble at all. The CMF is over rated but not by much. It will fill your tire quickly. A very nice air compressor. Too bad they still ship it with a crap hose but at least now it's easy to replace that crap hose with something better.
Ok, There are writings on the compressor gauge that says @ 60 psi. It is could be 9 psi. +/- off. I am Ok with that.
It took a little longer than 4 minutes, maybe 5 or 6, did not check. But it was way faster than the cigarette type. Compressor head was a little hot to the touch. wires at the motor was warm, but not too bad. I will use until warranty runs out then upgrade to larger gauge wires. All in all I was impressed with tis compressor. As long as it lasts more than a season or two.
I used it attached to the battery without the engine running with no problem. The manual says nothing about requiring the engine to run when using the air compressor. Other compressors like Harbor Freight require that for the extra voltage.
The Good:
* Nicely painted, looks quality.
* Plenty of hose and power cable length. The power cord is long enough to allow it to sit on the ground and the air hose easily reached the rear tires when attached to the battery in the front engine compartment.
* The carrying case is nice. Strong carry straps and easily fits everything without a struggle to put it in.
* It has a convenient power switch on the unit.
* It was reasonably quiet when pushing air into the tire.
* Works well without having to run the engine.
* Good air volume output at about 2.5 cfm. almost 2x as much as I could find for equivalently priced units.
* It took 2 minutes to fill a single 34" tire from 20pst to 35 psi.
* Not too Hot. After filling all 4 tires immediately one after the other the unit was not to hot to hold or put back in the bag.
* It comes with accessories for filling sport balls and air mattresses. It filled an air mattress in about 45 seconds.
The Bad:
* The air pressure meter was very inaccurate. It read a good 9lbs too high! I used a separate and accurate meter to measure the air pressure which was also confirmed by the cars internal air pressure measurements.
* The air pressure meter has no calibration adjustment but I did use a permanent marker to mark the plastic face of the meter for 35lbs.
* The air filter is super cheaply made and must be removed before putting back into its carrying case.
* The stem attachment is screw on vs a quick disconnect.
Update Note: I replaced the air pressure meter and the reading now is very accurate when the compressor is not running. When the compressor runs it obviously has to pump air at a pressure higher then the tire so you will see the meter bounce around at a higher pressure then the static pressure but when you turn off the compressor the meter should read the final tire pressure. The original meter was 5-10lbs off. The replacement meter is very accurate confirmed with 2 other pressure meters.
Update: After 12 months of use, its still working great. Say used 1/week on average to fill 4ea 34"; tires. Takes much longer to fill at altitude about 7000ft.
Update 6/2020: After 2 1/2 years of use and I would estimate used 100 times the compressor has worked great until today. After it just about reached tire pressure on the last tire the unit suddenly stopped. There is a inline fuse and when I checked it, the plastic case was melted around the fuse. The fuse had not blown but the melted case caused a disconnection. The wires were unusually hot and I suspect the contacts at the fuse were slowly building up resistance causing the compressor to draw more current and make the wires hotter. The unit is provided with a spare fuse and I replaced it and the compressor was working fine. I had a kit of Jeep fuses but they are mini size. The fuse used in the compressor is 3/4" wide. Ive included a picture of the new fuse installed and compared to a Jeep mini fuse.
Conclusion:
Even with its issues this is a good value especially for the volume of air it provides. Long term reliability is good after 2.5 years. The air pressure meter needs to be replaced for accurate readings.

I have seen much more expensive pumps that couldn't air up 4 35" tires without a break to cool down

Gauge, as with most, isn't accurate, and I use another one for checking the psi. I air up a little more than I have to and drop it back down with my deflator. Bag is a nice touch, zippers could be stronger, but treat it easy, and it will last.
Was going to spend big $ for a complete Viair system, but thought - why spend a lot on something that may be on board, may air up slightly faster, and will be another pain to install, when I can just buy a cheaper option like this, and put that money elsewhere. The less crap hooked up to the vehicle the better too, without the LED lighting and other accessories, and I can now take this in my other vehicle in the winter for emergency use as well.
EDIT Dec 2019 - I've used this compressor now for 3 years, and I do a lot of rock crawling, and constant back and forth from 25-27 to 7-9 PSI. This compressor has never let me down, dead of summer or -20c in winter. I find with people with expensive on board air I am not far behind being aired up from when they are, and others with even more expensive portable compressors are not as quick as mine. The bag, I recall, had complaints from people, but using mine constantly from May until Nov each year has had no rip or issue with the zipper. The only problem I have is that the fuse and wire out each end is getting hot, so I suspect the fuse holder isn't beef enough for the current, which I'll swap out sometime soon with a cheap upgrade. All in all still a great and tough little tool.
