A beefy power increase. An all-new design featuring an extruded heatsink with a brushed metallic surface. Speaker level inputs for easy connection to OEM headunits. Oversized power terminals. Bottom line? The 2-channel GM-5400T is a huge value in a small package.

Pioneer GM Series Amplifiers

A Solid Foundation
Adding an amplifier to your vehicle redefines your in-car experience, and can completely change the way you listen to your favorite music. The Pioneer GM series amplifiers are designed to add loads of much-needed volume, chest-thumping power, and heightened clarity.

Solid Value
GM series amplifiers provide exceptional value. Get more watts-per-dollar compared to competing brands, and save money to build other components in your system.

Bridgeable Operation
These bridgeable amplifiers also allow for more power as your needs grow. By combining the power of multiple channels to drive different system configurations, you can take your system to a whole new level of sound.

GM-5400T Features

760-Watt Max Power
Anybody have a problem with more power? We didn't think so. The GM-5400T packs an impressive wallop despite its small size, with 760-watt max power capability. It can run 125 watts x 2 at 4 ohms, 380 watts x 1 at 4 ohms, or 190 watts x 2 at 2 ohms--whichever best fits your system configuration.

Built-In Crossover (80Hz Low-Pass Filter)
Built into the GM-5400T is a very smart crossover network. It works like a gateway, routing the big bass signals (80Hz or lower, at -12dB/octave) to the speaker that handles them best, filtering out higher-frequency signals to that speaker. This optimizes your system's efficiency and delivers the best possible sound quality.

Speaker Level Inputs
The GM-5400T's speaker level inputs allow you to connect your OEM unit (or any unit that doesn't have the typical RCA-type inputs) without having to buy add-on adapters. The install goes faster, you save money, and you've got a Pioneer amp in your vehicle.

Gain Control
What is power without control? To accommodate the varying range of signal levels coming from today's factory and aftermarket radios, all of Pioneer's GM-series amplifiers feature adjustable gain controls. This means that no matter what kind of radio is connected to this amplifier, the appropriate gain control adjustment can be made to ensure loud, clear, distortion-free music. And even if the gain control level is set improperly, Pioneer's Gain Control Caution feature will automatically reduce the amplifier's output until the headunit volume is decreased to acceptable levels. This added layer of protection helps to prevent damage from occurring to the amplifier and the speakers connected to it due to improper gain control adjustments.

Bass Boost
Selectable 50Hz Bass Boost gives you more control over how your music sounds. It lets you set the optimal bass level for each speaker/sub connected to the GM-5400T, so the tone controls from your headunit can do what they do best. And because this is selectable bass boost, you can set the level at 0dB, 6dB, or 12dB, whichever sounds best to you.

I have 2 of these in my mustang. One drives a pair of 12' pioneer dual voice coil
subs wired 2ohms in the hatch and have never had an overheating problem!
The second amp is in the hatch but drives a pair of 8" Pioneer DVC subs wired 2 ohms in the doors.
The 8s sound almost like a snare ( the factory paper ones did not). The amps preform wonderfully.
I have a Premier (Pioneer) cd head unit with Pioneer 4 ways in
the doors by the subs and Pioneer 2 way speakers in the back seat.
There is only one major downfall with my system!
I don't always hear the radar detector :(
I've been stuck on Pioneer for many years and have tried others here and there but none
match up to Pioneers longevity and quality!

I found the best price & product description for this item on Amazon. I was comparing the unit to several Pioneer amps. I wanted a complete Pioneer system in my car so that all the components would be designed to work together. At 760 watts, it was double what I really needed to "bump" my Pioneer sub. I found that this unit was more versatile for a few more dollars then a smaller-mono amp and even though it is a 2-way amp, it could be wired mono or 2-channel? The instructions were easy to follow. Finding a location was difficult, it would not fit under the seats of my car. I ened up moving to the rear of my S.U.V. I used a Scorsh amp install kit from Walmart, it was the cheapest place to get an wiring kit that had all the stuff I needed to get my amp powered up. The unit does just want I needed it to do & is more versatile then what I was origingally going to buy. The only downer was having to locate the amp in the rear of the S.U.V. The amp install kit had plenty of wire from battery to amp to get the job done.

Problem with this was that I had two 25 amp fuses that came in this to begin with. it was okay, I started tuning and figuring out what I could do with it, and powering my Sundown e-15 (" rms 500") bridged I popped the 25 amps. so replaced it with 30 amps and It would overheat to the point while running it that it would of course stop working. so I got the new gto 751 ez from jbl.. for being cheap for one and two for being at least monoblock. but the darn thing is putting out twice the bass what this pioneer would. I even have videos on youtube of that. pioneer used to be a great label in terms of subs but now they are just meh. this would be great powering 2 of those 12" 60 dollar wal mart subs. I think they are what 250 max rms? lol I haven't been done that aisle in about a year so I don't remember. looking for a cheap 2 channel this is good for you. looking for a good single channel amp for one sub, unless its below 400 wat rms I recommend you spend a little more money

This amp is awesome. Its currently powering a 12" L5 Kicker, and it bumps real hard. The Kicker is RMS at 700 and max at 1200, but this 760 MAX amp still makes it move. Very impressed.

I have used this amp in multiple vehicles since 2010 and it still works perfect after daily use. It is incredibly sensitive to bad ground points and it does some strange stuff when it's not grounded properly. So keep that in mind if it starts acting weird. Plenty of power for a 12 inch subwoofer.

Edit: I periodically come back and edit reviews after I've used products for awhile. This AMP is still working great after nearly ten years of regular use. I've used a few different types of amps and this one is probably my favorite not only because it has lasted so long, but also because of the sound quality and power output.
