Wow, crazy bright. Careful when you select a power supply since these will draw around 15w/meter or 1.25A/mtr. The waterproof covering is molded on, so you'll have to cut that away to get to the contacts if you break the strip up. If you using these outside, I'd get the 3M doublesided trim tape they use in automotive work.

I installed these on my 2013 Nissan Frontier crew cab. They work perfectly when using the keyless remote. I wanted it for looks and a little bit of safety when parked in dark spots. Don't expect the adhesive to stick on the frame of the truck. I even cleaned the area of where I installed the lights first. I bought a can of 3m 70 from Lowe's and that is not even sticking right. Other then the adhesive great product and can be cut into any lengths.

These were great when I rolled it out and plugged it in. Bright and pretty white, no complaints. Then I installed it. I removed the backing tape cover and stuck it to a pipe running across my ceiling. I added about 6 zip ties, not overly tight, along the 5 meters. I did this for 2 strands. BOTH strands now have 2/3 of the lights that don't light up, and 1/3 that do. If you press it various places along its length the lights that are on and off will change. Very fragile. Of course, I finished the install and turned them on for the first time literally the day after the return window closed. Still trying to contact the seller for an RMA. I so wanted these to work, but I need something far more reliable than this. The time to install (and now remove) these is worth far more than the cost of the string of lights.

I PUT THESE IN THE CARGO AREA OF MY TRUCK. THE LENGTH OF THE ROLL WAS LONG ENOUGH TO WRAP THE TWO FENDERS AND HEAD PANEL. THE RIBBON CUT EASILY. SOLDIERING THE ENDS WITH SOME 20 GAGE WIRE WAS SIMPLE, (AT THE TIME I GOT THIS, DIDN'T KNOW CLIPS WERE AVAILABLE. PROBABLY WOULD HAVE MADE THE JOB A LITTLE EASIER)

I ADDED A WATER PROOF PIN SWITCH IN THE TAIL GATE AREA SO THE LIGHTS TURN ON WHENEVER I OPEN THE TAIL GATE. I CHOSE TO RUN THIS TO MY TAIL LIGHTS SO I DON'T FORGET TO TURN THEM OFF (GETTING OLD SUCKS!!)

VERY SATISFIED WITH THE END RESULT AND EVEN MY SON (VERY SKEPTICAL AND BELIEVES IN THE "LEAVE IT ALONE DAD" SCENARIO) LIKES THEM

Purchased this LED strip to light up my 6' long aquarium. Does an excellent job and is powered by a 10A power supply. It may be a little overkill but I get perfectly even light distribution. The LEDs are covered in a nice thick resin to keep them from being exposed to water however I wouldn't trust any LEDs like this which come in contact with water. The only thing I wasn't aware of was the strip is seamed (soldered) together every couple of feet to make up the full length. This just may be the manufacturing process but seems a weird that they needed to be soldered together to make up the full strip. Not really a problem but this does create a very small bulge on the strip due to how they are soldered together. But overall very happy with the product and it works extremely well for my application.

The strip is advertised as 75W, or 15W/m. The one I received draws only 18W for entire strip, I need to build 12V/6000 lumen light source, with 15W/m advertised strip that would be 4m of it.

At first, I thought they sent me 3528 strip, but this is actually 5630 LEDs. Of course, I only powered it on briefly for couple seconds to verify the 15W/m and take picture for this review, as true 15W/m strip actually cannot be run without heatsink. Mounting such strip without sinking its heat would result in overheating, yellowing and failure. Good backing for powerful LED strips are metal cabinets, ceramic tiles, brick or concrete walls.

And as already mentioned in other reviews, adhesive is almost nonexistent on this strip, but I expected that, so my low rating is purely for wattage bait&switch. Most of these China strips have bad adhesive, so always count on using your own double sided tape or clips.

I mean, it's not terrible quality, but you can clearly see where the corners have been cut. Several sections of the waterproofing weren't complete and look like they were patched by hand. Many of the LEDs were soldered askew, and I was worried because several of them appeared so poorly connected that they wouldn't light (but they did).

The LEDs themselves also appear to be poor quality, with relatively low light output. 5630/5730 LEDs are supposed to be the brightest LED strips, but this one is easily outperformed by my 5050 strip, which is brighter with fewer watts drawn. I haven't tried the adhesive yet, but I'm sure it's as terrible as it is with many other strips. I generally just assume it won't work and secure them with other means.

At the end of the day, they do work (not as brightly as advertised or expected), and they appear like they should be waterproof, and all the LEDs do manage to be connected electrically, somewhat miraculously. But the poor quality is evident in many different ways.
