Works well.
So far so good, provides plenty of shade on the small area we have. The shade sits at 9 feet above the pool deck surface. Installed by running the lines through a screw eye, then tied off on cleats mounted at eye level. We have storms blow up in summer almost daily and very quickly, and need to drop the sail without having to find ladders. So far this approach has worked well. We use large dog leash clips on the sail's D-rings and attach the clips to the cleat when not in use.

Washed it once with mild detergent and garden hose. Still useable. Expect to get many years of use out of this sunshade. Does a good job. I hang one end lower to allow rainfall to runoff.

Have had this up since August of 2015. It has met my expectations and then some. I was actually looking for something that was solid, no weave to it so rain would not penetrate. Could not find anything in the size or price range that I was willing to pay for (or would fit). I "settled" for these which have a weave instead of being solid. It turns out these are working better than the previous sail that was a solid, waterproof material.
These allow some rain to drip straight down, but most of the rain runs off down slope to the edges of the sail anyways! With the previous solid sail, I would have to take it down during rainy weather. If not, a large pool of water would form and cause the material o sag. I would have to take a broom stick and push up on the puddle. If it was windy, I would take it down...it is a sail with non-porous surface. It would strain under our local Santa Ana winds (2-3 days of wind gusts up to 50mph), so I would have to take it down and put it back up later.
These sails allow much of the wind to pass through it reducing the stress to the material and mounting hardware.
There has been no discoloration and no need to clean it in any way. It has not stretched out of shape even though it has been under constant pressure.
One caveat to porous material: it allows more sun to get through. It is a little brighter and warmer under this shade that the solid sail I had before. Also, I could not find a white sail which is more effective at reflecting light away and aiding in keeping the area underneath cooler. Also, the previous white sail was bright white which helped let light enter our dark living room.
I would recommend and would also buy another one when needed. In fact, I ordered a second one for our front porch!
Lastly, I did not use any special mounting hardware. No turn buckle, metal hooks which you ratchet tighter. I used I-hooks that I screwed down into per-drilled holes and used a taught line hitch know to tighten the rope. The know if done right will not slip. It has remained tight during our last Santa Ana wind session. For larger, solid sails I would need to use the hardware sold for mounting these sails. For thjis size and type, my knots are holding just fine, than you very much.
