I used a toothpaste-amount for each on a lint-free disposable cotton face towel and just scrubbed away while watching a movie — probably 10min on the rings and 20 on the jet pin (gotta get those nooks & crannies, plus I had to work around the stabby bit). I believe it would be quite difficult to mess this up unless your polishing needs are super specific.
The F15 jet plane pin, made of pewter, was a gift for my partner and looked pretty dull on arrival so we wanted to shine it up a bit (a big hit, now even bigger!).
The ultra-thin rose gold & silver toned stainless steel rings weren’t in bad shape at all (having lived on my hand for 4-ish years straight), but I decided to buff them anyway just because it was so satisfying to do.
Now I just need to find more things to polish…
