Great product to protect your walls + car doors!

We have a garage that is probably the legal minimum dimensions for a "two-car" garage. Rather than continue to ding up the walls when we open car doors, I decided to get one of these to test out.

Installation was a breeze (note: no mounting hardware in included.. I just used a pair of drywall screws) and only took a few minutes. I tested it out, came inside and ordered up three more.

The only tools I used for installation were a hand-held philips screwdriver and a basic level. If you happen to hit a stud when installing one, you may find a drill useful as well.

Big win here. They work GREAT, and I would buy them again in a heartbeat.

For years, I have had to be extremely careful whenever I open my car door in the garage. I'm always worried I'm going to accidentally hit the wall of the garage with my door and damage the paint on both the wall and my car. I recently came across this Garage Car Door protector and it's perfect! It easily attaches with two drywall screws. You simply park your car, open the door, and then determine where your door would make contact with the wall. In literally 30 seconds, it's up and protecting both your garage and car from damage.

These are ok. I bought two for installing on my concrete garage wall so the family wouldn't bang up the new car doors. You have measure perfectly or you won't get the door to hit it. I tried using just construction adhesive to bond them but one fell off so I ended up using concrete screws which held fine. I think a pool noodle or something similar would actually be better...

As stated there isn't any mounting hardware included, but that's ok because of the variety of places you may want to mount and types of hardware needed. In my case I mounted to a concrete block wall (using wall anchors) and it already seems to be doing a great job of protecting the car doors.

Our HOA recommended this product to us... actually they required that we take down our home made protectors and order these! Glad we did, because these not only look much more professional, but they protect our doors and mirrors better than what we had made! These also come in white, but I find that the black ones help me to guide my car into the small parking stalls that come with most condo and apartment garages these days. They don't come with the heavy masking tape or screws needed to instal them, so you need to get that yourself, but for the price, this is an excellent purchase. I highly recommend this to all my city dwelling friends!! They come in a huge box, so hey, Amazon... let's get green and size down your shipping boxes to something more reasonable!!! Save a tree, okay?!!!

I looked around a lot for garage car door bumpers. I wanted to find a one size solution for a four-door car. No luck. I settled on the Highland Black because I did not see any value in brightly colored protectors. I use a hanging tennis ball in the garage to aid in parking, and such devices are also key in ensuring proper mounting of any door protector. Otherwise, you could pull up short or too far and your door would 'miss' the bumper. For the quality and price, this door protector is a good value.

The product is stiff, but not too stiff. There is enough "give" so that the edge of a vehicle door does not get damaged, yet protects the wall too.

I have to wonder about some negative reviews where it seem pretty obvious that people are swinging the car door open with abandon and then blaming the product for not working. The product works -- in conjunction with YOUR own careful opening of the car doors.
