Very very happy with this tool
My engine oil filter was stuck on my 2019 Camry LE. I tried oil filter socket, vise pliers, strap wrench. None of the tools worked. The filter was deformed and had a big opening as you can see from the attached photos. This tool took off the filter easily, even after so much damage to the filter’s casing. I’m very very happy with the result. Think about all the towing hassle and mechanic charge if I had to tow my car to a shop. This tool saved me from so much trouble!!

I needed a small oil filter tool for my jetski. This tool works great and is well designed. It’s a little difficult installing in tight places, like the wave runner filter location, but it can be done.

The recessed filter on a 2016 Jeep Patriot was on too tight and this product was able to reach and grip it just as it was expected to. I was able to knock out the oil change in minutes. A great handy and inexpensive tool that I recommend. Side note: I see comments about the spring on this tool, and yeah, I have to agree that it is a small spring with not a lot of tension. However, it worked for me on my 1st use and I determined that if it ever broke I'll just attach a stronger spring; no big deal. It's worth the price.

I'm a "car guy" and I'm pretty mechanically inclined. I'm embarrassed to say that I've never owned a filter wrench until recently. I've always just used a pair of channel-locking pliers and wrestled with my filters to get them off. I'll also never understand why oil filters are wrapped in such a slick coating. Of course they are going to get oily and then the outside is already a polished smooth surface. Anyway, on to the wrench... It's spring loaded so that it'll fit a relatively wide range of filters. It does a good job of grabbing onto a filter and holding it while it comes off. I've used it a few times now and it works great each time. It'll accept a 1/4"-drive socket to get good leverage on it. My only complaint is that I wish the spring had more tension on it. Once you put lateral force on the wrench it'll grab the oil filter hard and get it off but if I just press the wrench onto the filter (upside down, mind you since I'm under the car) the spring doesn't have enough tension to hold the filter without me pushing upward on it. You'll need to push up to hold the wrench in place while you twist it off. It's not a big deal by any means but if the spring was stronger I think it would hold itself in place requiring just a little less effort to use. Either way, it's much better than getting a pair of huge pliers on your oil filter.

These are excellent to use on any oil filters regardless of their positions (horizontal, vertical or angled). The best features for me, are its semicircular jaws which can reach recessed (narrow spaced) filters where other oil filter tools cannot reach, especially on some modern modelled cars. Awesome!!

If it works on a veloster with an over torqued filter, I don't know what it wouldn't work on.

I have not even used this yet, but I have some comments on the packaging and my initial review of this.
The total shrink wrap packaging was a total pain. I had to use a knife to get it off and then it got hung up on both springs. What is wrong with a simple box?
Also, my intital impression is that the sliding surfaces were very rough. They had a small amount of lubricant, but it didn't help very much. So I did the best I could to sand them off with a small piece of sand paper and that helped. I have a very difficult to access oil filter, one that I can see and not reach, or reach and not see. So I need it to adjust as smoothly as possible.
Another thing that would help to fix the smoothness is if they used shoulder bolts or bolts with nylon washer instead of rivets to hold it together. That would make it easier to take apart and sand all the contact surfaces.
I will update this review after I use it.

Worked really well. I have a 2014 Kawasaki ZX6R and unfortunately there is not a lot of clearance, so most filter wrenches that are either bulky or have a handle close to the filter body simply will not work.

This worked without a problem :)
