I've shopped for and owned numerous extension cords over the years. The easiest ones to wind/wrap for storage always seemed to be the lightest gauge and weren't appropriate for some of my tools due to amperage drop. The proper cords seemed to be stiff and awkward. I don't write many reviews but had to after buying and using this cord. Truly the best of all worlds. Heavy duty enough to carry any amperage I throw at it, flexible enough to make winding up a breeze and as a bonus, is resistant to oils and grease. Finally a cord I can use indoors, outdoors and in my garage. Worth the money!

I went for it because the earlier reviews described it as easy to roll it up and of solid manufacturing, but it has fall short of my expectations on both. First is not that soft and easy to roll as other cords I own, in justice I have to say I paid more for the others, but I expected this cord to be competitive because is not exactly a bargain. After four months of use one end separated from the jacket leaving the wires exposed (not the metal itself, but the individual covered wires) and the jacket continues to shrink making it worse by the day, OSHA won't tolerate that so I will have to retire it from service a lot sooner than I thought I would. I gave it three stars because this far it would service any of my tools without problems, and some of them demand a good amount of power.

This cord is heavier than I thought it would be. However, it is built like a tank. Flexible but strong. I like the idea of having the same power at the end of 50 feet as I would if my tool was plugged directly into the wall outlet. Highly reccommended.

Well Made - a little "greasy" when cold

This is a well made extension cord and exactly what I was looking for. The molded ends are great and they light up to show power running through the cord. However, when the cord is left out in the cold, the outside of the insulation material seems to "sweat" or become "greasy". I prefer my cords to remain "dry" so they don't attract dirt/dust, etc. when rolling up. Other than that it is a good cord.

Update:
I hate touching this thing. It feels gross and dirty. I should have spent less at gotten the more plastic kind than this gummy one.
