Product Description
Product Description
The Campbell Hausfeld tire inflator with gauge (MP600000AV) combines an inflation gun, air chuck and pressure gauge in one convenient unit that’s easy to use — even one handed. A clip on design enables hands-free use of the chuck while inflating tires; the pressure gauge accurately shows the amount of air in the tire from 10 – 100 PSI. If a tire has been overinflated, the built-in relief valve makes deflating easy. Includes a flexible hose to make reaching tire stems easier. Finish your projects faster and easier with Campbell Hausfeld. The Air Power Expert ®

"The MP600000AV is a great value--combining 3 tools in 1 compact and easy-to-use design: an inflation gun, chuck and gauge. Used with your air compressor this deluxe tire inflation gun helps you to achieve proper tire inflation, which results in better gas mileage and optimal tire life! A hands-free chuck design makes this inflation gun easy to connect. Simply squeeze the clip and position the chuck over any Schrader-type tire valve; release the clip to lock the hands-free chuck into place. The flexible hose helps you maneuver the chuck more easily into wheel wells and other tight spaces. Moreover, the large gauge (measuring up to 150 PSI) is easy to read at 2 inches in diameter. Pull the trigger on the inflation gun and you’re inflating. Easy, peasy! But wait, there’s more: the inflation gun features a side relief valve for bleeding off air and reducing pressure in over-inflated tires and, ultimately, helping you zero-in on that proper inflation spec. Now, you’re ready to roll! Because routine pressure checks can help extend the life of your tires, investing in a tool like the MP6000 is a smart choice. Not only will the MP6000 help you save time and money, but it will also help protect the environment by optimizing your gas mileage, and it will even help make your vehicle safer to drive. Customers are mixed about the quality of the tire inflator. Some mention that it's well-made, solid, and will hold up for many years. However, others say that it doesn't feel cheap, it' s not industrial strength, and that the trigger doesn' t feel the most sturdy.

Customers have mixed opinions about the stability of the inflator. Some mention that it holds itself securely to the valve stem without any leaking, while others say that it does not secure well. The clamping device holds well compared to other similar models, but some customers complain that the clip does not hold on to the tire valve tightly, and the head rarely locks into place. They have to hold in place manually at times, and it would not stay on.

"...It holds itself securely to the valve stem without any leaking. I was a little disappointed with the quality of the gauge on this inflator...." Read more
Customers are mixed about the fit of the tire pressure gauge. Some mention that it fits anything, and the hose is a decent length. They say it's especially good for small tubed tires like garden carts, furniture dollies, and such where the valve stem is small. They love the long dongle with the air hose so they can keep the guage in their hand. However, others say that it appears too small to fit a standard male valve stem, and will not fit smaller lawn mower valve stems. The chuck coupler to the tire stem is a bit large and fiddly to get a bite on well, and it comes with an odd fitting that does not plug into a hose.
"...seems accurate - wish I had gotten one with 0 - 60PSI as the gauge itself is small and thus the 0 - 100PSI scale makes it a bit of a squint to..." Read more
"...This scale is 150psi, perfect for tires. Finally, the best part I discovered is that the gauge works all by itself without any hose or attachment...." Read more

"...I agree that the chuck coupler to the tire stem is a bit large and fiddly to get a bite on well, but I can make it work, and it is easy to tell..." Read more
Customers are dissatisfied with the leakage of the air chuck. They mention that the swaged ends of the hose leak a little, the fitting to the valve on their tires isn't leak-proof, and it fails to maintain a seal after releasing.
"...2. I have an issue keeping the seal on the schrader valve. It will hold initially but with added pressure pushes itself off and starts to leak...." Read more
"...Air constantly leaks out and the more you try the more air gets out...." Read more
"...the nozzles seals up unless something presses in on it...." Read more

With this inflator it all goes away, and it becomes one hand fast & easy operation.
I have no proplems with clearence to fit the chuck properly on any of my vechicles, but i see it might be a problem for some smaler wheels that have a little clearance around the valves.
The gauge on my inflator is spot on, so again no issue here since some reviewers indacated a problem in this area. Mine is spot on compared to two other gauges I used for a long time. The PSI markings are a little small and spread a little to far, but it's not an issue that will take a star away.
Inflator feels and looks to made well. Should outlast several vechicles or even a compressor in it's life, but we'll see about that.
That said, for the money, it's is one of the best compressor attachments I have got so far.
Five stars with no doubt.
PS: I don't know why some buyers ecpected it to come with a quick connect, for the price really it's not a thing to complain. Besides a set (4 pcs) of 1/4" quick connects with a quick connect adapter for the compressor or your hose goes for as low as $7 here on amazon or any of your local hardware stores. And a set like this will provide for 4 tools, so really a cost per tool is little over $1 - so be serious! Campbell Hausfeld MP2920 5-Piece 1/4-Inch Quick Conn Kit
I tested this inflator on my car tires. I am glad I bought this. I found out that my other tire inflator with it's built in gauge was under inflating my tires about 6 psi. The chuck has a good and tight seal on the valve stem. I will give this product 5 stars.
The built in spring loaded chuck lock is very simple to use. Press on the lock insert the chuck as far as it goes on the valve stem, release the lock and you have an air tight seal on tire's valve stem. I also like the inflation trigger, one can gradually adjust the tire inflation to it's recommended psi.
I tried this on my RV with difficult to access valve stems on the back dual tires. It turns out it could not get a good seal on the valve stem. It seems to me the valve stem on my RV is longer than the hole or the chuck lock could not lock on the valve stem. For my cars it works well.
I think the gauge works well. I have the pencil type gauge, which I think is not accurate. As soon as the chuck is tight on the valve stem the tire's inflation psi shows on the gauge. One can then inflate using the inflation trigger or deflate if necessary using the release valve on the handle. Price is good.
.
I was ready to send the unit back for a refund- when I noticed you could take the tire chuck apart, so with nothing to loose I disassembled it by simply unscrewing the clip-on piece from the threaded hose end. Inside the chuck was only one part... a 3/16" thick soft white silicone washer that was responsible for sealing the chuck to the valve stem while filling the tire. It was also the part that was preventing the chuck from fully sitting down far enough on the tire's valve stem to push open the tire's pin valve. So, I used a utility knife and shaved about 1/16" off the washer so instead of being 3/16" thick, now it was 1/8" thick. I put the modified washer (with cut side sitting against the brass chuck base not outward towards the tire valve- for better sealing), screwed the chuck back onto the threaded hose end and gave it a try out on my car.
Well, now the chuck clipped onto the valve stem very securely and instantly/correctly operated the tire's pin valve showing me the tire's pressure and allowing me to fill it to the correct pressure with just one hand.
So a two min fix with a utility knife/razor blade fixes the tire chuck problem... permanently!
As to the accuracy of the built in gauge... it exactly matched my Joe's Racing Garage (known for their accuracy) analog gauge... both showed my tires at 37PSI. I filled them up to 40 PSI and both gauges agreed once again.
If you fix the chuck, this inflator's a steal because it's all metal and good quality.. if you don't... it's worthless.
