What are inner tie rod ends?
The inner tie rod end connects the steering rack to the front wheel through the steering knuckle. As you steer left or right, the steering gear pushes the tie rod assembly left or right respectively. Tie rod ends are susceptible to damage and wear due to normal use and driving hazards like poor road conditions, potholes and accidents. If a tie rod fails, the effects can range from the mild (like premature tire wear) to the extreme (a total loss of control of your vehicle). Since the outer tie rod must be removed to replace the inner tie rod, it is a good idea to replace the inner tie rod and outer tie rod at the same time. Replacing both the inner and outer tie rods together can save time on a future repair and can help you avoid further issues down the road.

Clunking, Grinding or Noise Under VehicleAbnormal noises like squealing while turning corners or clunking from the front end can be an indication of a damaged tie rod end. |

Quality part. Went with OEM sealed outers and Beck and Arnley bellow boots w/screw type hose clamps. Both off amazon. Great OEM quality stock set up. If anything happens otherwise with this part I WILL update. Don’t forget to get a shop alignment promptly after any front end work so you have your new parts dialed in and protected from premature wear. This is a must, plan all you repairs accordingly in one job to save on multiple alignments.
If you're on the fence deciding, get these!
