Product Description

This Plastic Body in-line filter is an ideal way to add extra protection to automatic transmissions and/or power steering systems. It contains a magnet which attract ferrous particles and a 25 micron paper filter element traps the remaining non-ferrous particles. An internal pressure relief valve assures continuous full flow should the filter ever become clogged with contaminants. This particular filter is for 3/8 lines.

    Product was well packaged with quality accessories. Id id not use the hose sections for my application, but the clamps were of good quality. The filter itself seem to be well constructed, with heavy-duty inlet and outlet ports. Raybestos is a quality name and they continue that reputation with this product. The filter is a little on the heavy side, so it will need support when installed, but other than that, it is an excellent filter.

    I have used this filter before and performs well. Just a suggestion, when installing flare the ends of the metal line that you attach it to first, this will keep it from working off. I did have this happen once and I had the included worm gear type clamp tight. Once the metal tubing was flared, I never had an issue after that.

    After doing a bit of research I found out this is a "magnafine" filter with a Raybestos label in an ATP box.
    Only finished installing it today in my 2000 Honda Civic which has a small filter screen buried in the transmission and a magnetic drain plug. I needed some sort of extra protection for my trans and this fits the bill.
    Package includes the filter and two hose clamps.
    If u need or want a magnafine inline filter and can't find it anywhere else...this is it

    I am dropping my original score of 5 stars to 3 stars. My filter has developed a leak after approx 7000km of use. It's a small leak now but i am forced to change it in the event that the leak gets larger and most of my fluid is pumped out during any journey and ruins my transmission.
    I will leave it with 3 stars for in the brief period that it did not leak it significantly reduced the small "filings" that would usually be found on the drain plug magnet.

    It works just check it occasionally.

    Great filter I install an external cooler on my 4 runner transmition and I work perfect I give cool oil back to my trans and the peace of mind of clean oil back to the transmition keep in mind that the transmition only has a met filter and a magnet on the bottom but sometimes it's not enough
