For 2004 Tacoma 4dr short box TRD 4wd larger engine. These Husky Mats mats for driver and passenger are thinner and stiffer than I expected but turned out to be really good:

1. Mats settled in to a perfect fit in short order.
2. They remove easily at car wash, clean up well with the pressure hose, and due to (1) are easily placed in the spring wall holders found there. They stay put and come out easily. We keep the mats dry using an absorbant rag.
3. They are easily replaced on the floor carpet which they protect and I find they are not unusually slippery with my Vibram soled footwear.
I will be buying some for other vehicles.

The liners are a good fit...not EXACT but good. Best fitting liners I have found for my 2002 Tacoma dbl cab. Other people complain about the thickness of the mat but I found it to be very adequate. I had to trim off a lip on both mats so keep from catching my foot when entering and even with a razor knife it wasn't the easiest thing to cut. They have a high edge and keep snow and water in the mat and off the vehicle carpet. I usually put a cheap cloth mat from Walmart in the winter so you don't have pools of sloshing water when it dumps snow

I bought these based on the other person's review and attempted to make them work in my Extended Cab (aka XtraCab) 2001 Tacoma. They don't fit at all and I ended up sending them back. In spite of what's been said in another review, these mats do not fit any Gen 1 Tacoma model except the 4-door crew cab (aka Double Cab), just like Amazon says. The only mats for single or extended cabs currently made are made by WeatherTech and that's what you should by if you don't have a 4-door model. On the other hand, the only floor liners for the 4-door currently available are these Husky Liners. Depending on what model of Tacoma you have, you have ONE choice for floor liners. WeatherTech stopped making the mats for the 4 door and Husky stopped making mats for the extended and single cabs. You can get a liner but you're stuck with either one depending on your model of truck That's where we're at in Gen 1 Tacomas if you're looking for liners.

These are custom fitted floor liners built for the 4-door model. The 4 door Gen 1 Tacoma has an entirely different floor pan and these DO NOT work in the other models. Do yourself a favor and get the right mat for your truck. If yours is not a 4-door, this is NOT the mat for you. I have both a 4-door and an extended cab in my driveway and they don't work in the extended cab, no matter what anyone tells you.

With that being said, if you have a 4-door, these are great mats and fit well. Husky Liners aren't as well-fitting as you'd get in a WeatherTech, but they've got a good price point and fit pretty well for the money, as long as you have a 4-door. I'm lucky my 4-door has WeatherTechs from before they discontinued them. I won't be getting rid of those.

Both of those people bought the wrong item number. These are for the double cab model truck from 2001-2004. They fit just fine in that truck. I installed them yesterday and am very happy with them functionally. There's a slight gap at the front left near the left foot rest, but that's being picky I think. I can't compare them to Weathertech, and Weathertech doesn't make liners for the Tacoma Double cab. They lock into place well with the spikes on the bottom of the mat, and didn't shift at all for me. I'll update this review after a few months if I have any issues with them.

Got these for my 2002 double cab Tacoma and they do not fit as well as my weather techs did on my 04 4runner. With that being said Weather Tech does not make custom fitting floor mats for my 02 double cab tacoma (at least that I could find) so these are the best option for me and work well enough for me to not return them.

There are a couple of bends/corners that this mat doesn't fit quite right and they did not take into account the hook to hold the mat down on the drivers side, so there is no hole for the hook to slide into. They aren't extremely rigid or flimsy ...somewhere right in between and the black went nice with my black and grey interior.
