Product Description

Littelfuse MINI add a circuit kit allows easy installation of additional circuits without cutting or spicing. Turn one fuse slot into two while providing protection for both circuits. Use with MINI fuses up to 10 amps. Includes MINI 3,5,7.5 and 10 amp fuses. From the manufacture: adding a circuit, always use a circuit protection device with a fuseholder or fuse block whenever adding additional circuits to ensure optimal safety. The fastest, easiest option for installers who need to add a circuit for application such as electronic components, is Littelfuse's Add A Circuit Fuseholder. Add a circuit is available in ATO and MINI blade fuse versions, is designed to facilitate installation of fuses for accessories of 10 amps or less. The Add-A-Circuit adapts the fuse block to the installers needs, quickly turning one slot in the fuse block into two. This provides a safe, economical alternative to splicing or fuse taps.

Fantastic; product is for mini fuses, not ATO

Received quickly via Prime. Product WAS for mini fuses (not ATO!) as other reviewers indicated. I did not get a fuse removal tool (the white thing in the image) and used a pair of needlenose pliers instead to remove the existing fuse. Fit for fuses is tight (take time & care), but the product works great. Used to install a radar detector.

Easy to remove and easy to install - very much worth the price. In fact, a relative helped me install a radar detector power cord, and he liked the solution so much he just purchased four - he only needs one in the short term, but likes the solution so much he wants to have spares on hand. This individual has installed many aftermarket electronics in his car, so I think it speaks to the ease of use/installation of the product versus other solutions.

I needed to add a G-meter to an ignition controlled power source. Installers wanted $55-100 to add a circuit and I did not trust them to take power from a safe location. Besides my car is a lease.
Solution: Add-A-Circuit
Completely reversible, completely safe with original fuse in place for the original purpose, added a fuse and a circuit for other use.

Why didn't I know of this before, could have saved me tens of wire stripping, taping, soldering, all risky stuff that could cause failures or worse overheating and fires.

What a great product! No more jamming wires or copper strips into the fuse block. Had 'spare' openings, so didn't even need to use the second fuse position in the Add-A-Circuit "tap". Added a 'built in' HomeLink unit, and a dashboard jack for a solar battery maintainer to my 2006 Civic, as well as a (switched) hard wire radar detector power supply.

Only minor hiccup, is that the fuses in this unit stick out the side, covering the adjacent fuse position (so it looks like you can't plug two of these side by side). After a quick thought, I carfully bent the blades on the unit about 45 degrees, so the fuses would move up and over to allow me to plug another one adjacent to it. So it ended up not being an issue.

No need to splice wires

Easy to use product and no need to splice wires. Connects directly into the fuse box. I used this with my radar detector and used a vampire clip to hardwire the radar detector cable into an empty slot in the fuse box. Couldn't get any simpler than this and no issues with my car warranty since I can simply unplug the cable to revert it back to normal.

There isn't a cleaner way to get power to hardwire a car accessory (GPS, radar detector, fm modulator, etc.) This actually adds an additional circuit, it doesn't just tap into one.

Make sure that you purchase the correct kit. There are different sizes of automobile fuses. These are the smallest, there is also a "normal" size and a large size.
