Customers like the size of the knife. They say it's the perfect size for their needs, it fits well in their medium-large hands, and the hilt is four inches. The handle is sufficiently large, and it'll fit their hand surprisingly well. The relative short length is nice, as it won't poke something when sitting down, and has a sufficiently large cord wrapping. The belt holster works great and holds the knife and fire starter perfectly.

It is small and that makes it easy to stash, and for a CQC knife, it's perfect for concealed carry. The weight is definitely well balanced, and it travels well.

Customers are mixed about the quality of the tools. Some mention that it's a great knife, easy to use, and a fantastic firesteel. Others say that it is not exactly mil-spec quality, the sheath is too flimsy, and pretty dismal out of the box. Customers are mixed about the appearance of the knife. Some mention that the finish looks a lot better in person than in the picture, it has a good design, good steel, good feel, and good nylon. However, others say that the knife came to them as dull as a butter knife, the blades on both knives were pretty dull, and it is cheap looking and feeling. The instructions are unique and can be difficult to follow, but once you get your head around it. Overall, the product has mixed reviews and opinions are mixed.

Customers are mixed about the sharpness of the knife. Some mention that the edge was sharp when they received it, while others say that it was not great. The steel may not hold an edge like a higher end brand, and the rough edges need a little work. Some customers also mention that it starts cutting through at the bottom where the point rests.

Having said that and reading a lot of bad reviews I wanted to set the record straight. It's a cheap knife. Nothing cheap ever has a lot of work put into it and this is no different. However knowing it is cheap starting out give me a good idea of what to expect. The knife itself is shaped nice and though small is not hard to hold and i have arthritis in both hands. Now if I had to drive the dull edge through something very many times such as whittling or bushcraft they would hurt before long. But I did not expect a razor edge on a $7 knife that comes with a sheath and fire steel. However after putting a good edge on it I expect it will make a nice camp neck knife.
The nylon sheath is nothing to write home about but for a $7 knife it does the job just fine. IKt has a velcro holder for the knife and a pocket on the front for the fire steel. Its seem well put together if not exciting. I would not want to attach it to my hip and go out in the woods as the rod could fall out climbing around in the woods but as a camp neck knife it will hang straight down most of the time and will be fine.
The fire steel is nothing special but it does work. There seems to be a black coating that needs to be scrapped off by striking it and the knife itself has a black paint or cheap powder coat. it scraps off and I used a dremel to take it off on the spine and it created a lot of sparks after a few strikes.
You have a reasonable small work knife, a fire steel and sheath for $7. A little love and the knife can easily be your go to camp neck knife and the ability to make fire right under your nose is awesome.
I do not buy an Escort and expect it to be a 10 second car without some work but it will get me back and forth to the store. This knife is exactly what I expected it to be for $7 with extras. I could easily say it was crap and dull and I had a hard time getting it to spark and... But that would not be fare. Its not a Mora or a Becker. It was never design to those specks. But if you understand what you are getting an accept it will have its limits and could use some work I think you will find a nice little tool that you will keep coming back to for those small jobs that keep popping up at camp.
To start with, this knife comes with a fantastic firesteel fire starter. Firesteels of this size and quality typically cost more than what's being charged for this knife alone. So it wouldn't be bad to think of this as a good quality firesteel, at a great price, that just happens to come with a free knife.
Now, as for the knife, it's a perfectly acceptable knife, but it will need some work to get it into the proper condition.
First off, the nylon cording that was used to wrap the handle is very sub-par. It is not paracord by any means. So you will need to re-wrap the handle yourself, with your own paracord. You can find paracord here on Amazon at excellent prices. And there are wonderful videos on YouTube that show you different patterns and techniques for wrapping the handle to your preference.
Secondly, knife aficionados will want to put a new edge on the knife. (And if you're looking for an effective and easy to use knife-sharpening kit that won't break the bank, I strongly recommend the Lanksy Sharpening Stone System kits. I personally prefer their deluxe model. You will need the read the instructions, as it is a very unique sharpening system, but once you get your head wrapped around it, it is basically idiot-proof.) And third, the knife sheath leaves a little to be desired. If you're tossing this knife in a Bug out Bag or just keeping it in your toolbox or junk drawer, the sheath will do just fine. But if you're planning on keeping this knife on your belt and it will see heavy use, then you'll want to upgrade the sheath.
Now as for the handling of the knife, I could not be happier with it. And it is my favorite knife for just about any job. It is a smaller knife, but I really like the feel of it in my hand (once I double wrapped it with paracord). I'm a bigger guy (6' 2"), so I have large hands, but this small knife still feels really comfortable in hand. I feel like this would be an ideal knife for field dressing or fish gutting, to say nothing of light to medium general use.
I have purchased a handful of these knives, and have been happy with each one. I did re-wrap the handle and put a new edge on all of the knives. I keep one in my toolbox, one in the car, another in the survival kit in the back of my car, and another for general use around the house (even just opening bags of snacks and the like). I have put an extremely sharp edge on each of the knives. One of them sees a pretty fair amount of use, and it still has a fantastic edge that hasn't required any maintenance to re-hone the edge. And while I can't speak as to the high carbon content of the steel, I have been very happy with how this knife keeps its edge.
So all in all, I happily recommend this product. Just make sure you understand what you're buying. For a great low price, you're getting a fantastic firesteel, and a perfectly acceptable knife that will require a little work to get it the way you want it.

Purtroppo a questo prezzo non ci si può aspettare un prodotto di ottima qualità.
Nonostante tutto, mi ci ero affezionato prima di perderlo questa estate.
