Industrial Air IL1682066.MN 20-Gallon Belt Driven Air Compressor with V-Twin Cylinder
. After reading the few reviews this compressor had and researching high and low to make an educated decision, I went with this model. Industrial air has a good reputation and now I see why. For a 20 Gallon compressor you can get one a good bit cheaper than this model but I don't think you would get this quality.
The compressor arrived in a shipping crate that came via an independent large freight shipping company. It was very well protected in the crate and everything came assembled. The tires on the unit are robust and large. They give a very convenient nice roll even on grass and uneven surfaces so the compressor is easy to transport from one place to another. The 20 Gallon tank, although smaller than other models at similar prices, is an absolute work horse. I have yet to be able to drain the tank with ANY of my work. It is not too loud comparatively to my old 4 gallon craftsman that I own that is about 27 years old now. That little thing is also a piston driven pump like this one and has lasted for almost 30 years and going strong.
Everything on the compressor is easily accessible and put together well. I have owned and used it now for about 6 months and it makes my garage a functioning powerhouse. The only negative thing I can see about the compressor is the ability to access the drain at the bottom of the take for regular water and air draining. However most compressors no matter the cost or quality seem to use a similar design and leave it up to the consumer to decide on a different draining solution. Also just a little FYI for anyone that does buy this compressor. I live out in the country and after placing my order I tracked the compressor meticulously until it arrived at a major city about an hour and a half outside my city. Amazon failed to give the third party my address to ship to so the compressor sat at a warehouse until I personally tracked their number down and called them. There than that I could not be happier.
